Javier, a man tormented by the abandonment of his beloved Marta, begins to obsessively read the works of Spanish poet Antonio Machado and decides to travel to Collioure, France, where the author died. While in his hotel, he meets a strange woman and her hyperactive teenager. One morning as they have breakfast, the woman receives a bizarre call and disappears, leaving her son with the protagonist.
