Routledge is now re-issuing this prestigious series of 204 volumes
originally published between 1910 and 1965. The titles include
works by key figures such asC.G. Jung, Sigmund Freud, Jean Piaget,
Otto Rank, James Hillman, Erich Fromm, Karen Horney and Susan
Isaacs. Each volume is available on its own, as part of a themed
mini-set, or as part of a specially-priced 204-volume set. A
brochure listing each title in the International Library of
Psychology series is available upon request.
European Financial Reporting analyses the revolution that is
currently taking place in the financial reporting of the major
European companies, following the European Union's decision that
from they must present their accounts according to the IASB's
standards. The book covers both the theory of financial reporting
and its practice at both national and international level. It
covers the very latest developments in the EU and the IASB with a
detailed analysis of the impact of the Enron scandal. MARKET 1:
Academics, Researchers, Libraries and Post-graduate Students on
Financial Reporting or International Accounting programmes at
Universities and Business and Management Schools MARKET 2:
Supplementary reading for Students on International Business or
European Business programmes
First published in 1999. This is Volume II of six of a series on
Anthropology and Psychology. Written in 1927, this book looks the
connection between religious practice and belief on the one hand,
and instinct together with other original or innate f tendencies '
of a more individual character on the other. The ideas presented
are that the widespread phenomena of religion, both in connection
with practice and belief, might be connected with original
tendencies not directly, as immediate, distorted or sublimated
expressions of their operation either singly or in co-operation,
but indirectly, as the result of their failure to function in the
presence of an ever increasing discrimination of features in the
environment which provided no adequate stimulus to them.
Since the discovery of the pharmacological and toxicological
importance of inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes by
non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), much research has
gone into the development of methods to study the biological
functions of COX-1 and COX-2. In Cyclooxygenases: Methods and
Protocols, experts and pioneers in the field present the most
up-to-date in vitro and in vivo techniques routinely used in COX
research. The volume delves into essential topics such as the
purification, cloning, and expression of COX enzymes as well as in
vitro assays aimed at determining the inhibitory potency of drugs
on COX-1 and COX-2 activities, with chapters describing protocols
used for the extraction and measurement of the prostanoids. This
volume also describes in vivo disease models used to study the
roles of COX-1 and COX-2 in gastrointestinal injury, inflammation,
and pain. As a book in the highly successful Methods in Molecular
Biology (TM) series, the protocols chapters include brief
introductions to their respective topics, lists of the necessary
materials and reagents, step-by-step, readily reproducible
laboratory protocols, and notes on troubleshooting and avoiding
known pitfalls. Authoritative and cutting-edge, Cyclooxygenases:
Methods and Protocols serves as an indispensable tool for all
scientists seeking the treatment of inflammation, pain, fever, and
other harmful conditions.

Nightmares haunted the mind of the injured man, hour after hour.
The smoke, the sound of guns, and the sights of battle were
everywhere. He imagined men charging at one another with exploding
rifles. He passed bloody soldiers groaning and lying on trampled
cotton fields, and others gasping and wailing for water. The
maddening noise and confusion continued when he saw a raven-haired
woman running with a young child in her arms and a stranger lying
dead in the rain. Shadow Trails is a story about a young man who
has been shot three times and left for dead on the hot Nebraska
prairie. He is rescued by a hermit only to find that he has
amnesia. Searching for his former life, he takes a job on a cattle
ranch where he falls in love with the owner's daughter, but
realizes that they have no future until he recovers his past. As
his memory slowly returns he discovers that he is in a race against
time to stop the men who shot him before they kill his family.
