Joseph J. Lawson directs this action movie in which a technology
firm brings dinosaurs back to life only for them to run riot in Los
Angeles. Paraplegic Justin (Ronny Cox) is the CEO of the company
responsible for the outbreak. Having developed technology that can
regenerate flesh, thereby allowing Justin to walk again, the firm
utilise the same breakthrough to reanimate dinosaurs - only for the
prehistoric creatures to break free from captivity. As fireman Gabe
Jacobs (Treat Williams) endeavours to rescue his daughter Jade
(Jillian Rose Reed) from the ensuing carnage, he becomes caught up
in the struggle to contain the outbreak before it reaches
disastrous proportions.
In every generation, the church stands in dire need of God-called
people to preach the Word with precision and power. Preachers who
will not replace sound theology with culturally palatable
soundbites. Preachers who will clearly and faithfully share the
gospel and inspire those in their churches to live godly lives.
Through in-depth biblical analysis and inspiring examples from
church history, Steven J. Lawson paints a picture of God's glory
magnified through faithful preaching, reclaiming the high ground of
biblical preaching for the next generation. With helpful advice and
practical guidance gleaned from 50 years in ministry, Lawson helps
aspiring preachers know if they are called to preach; understand
the qualifications for ministry; and develop, improve, and deliver
strong expository sermons that illuminate the Word of God in a dark
world.

Joseph J. Lawson directs this family film following the adventures
of a dog who is left home alone at Christmas. When his owners head
to visit relatives for the Christmas holidays they are disappointed
that they have to leave their beloved dog Bone behind. However,
given that a pair of burglars plan to break into houses that are
without their owners for the holidays, it is perhaps just as well
that Bone is around. The resourceful dog quickly turns the tables
on the burglars, using every trick imaginable to try and repel them
from his territory. Davis Cleveland and David DeLuise star.
After World War I, housing was one of many pressing issues facing
the country with multiple families often crowded in together in
inadequate housing. This had a dramatic impact on health with
increasing problems such as tuberculosis and malnutrition.
Originally published in 1919, this study aimed to identify the ways
in which defective housing impacted on health in the family with a
particular focus on rickets in children in the East end of London
and the developmental issues resulting from it. This title will be
of interest to students of Medical History and Health and Social
Care.

Nestled in a few verses in Luke's Gospel is a Jesus who would not
have been tolerated today: He was not politically correct and He
certainly did not try to save people's feelings. Steven Lawson
unpacks these few verses, looking at the unashamed honesty,
passion, and urgency with which Jesus explains the life-long cost
involved in choosing to follow Him. True Christianity is the
biggest sacrifice any person ever makes ... but it is in pursuit of
the most precious prize ever glimpsed.
Domains are mathematical structures for information and
approximation; they combine order-theoretic, logical, and
topological ideas and provide a natural framework for modelling and
reasoning about computation. The theory of domains has proved to be
a useful tool for programming languages and other areas of computer
science, and for applications in mathematics.
Included in this proceedings volume are selected papers of original
research presented at the 2nd International Symposium on Domain
Theory in Chengdu, China. With authors from France, Germany, Great
Britain, Ireland, Mexico, and China, the papers cover the latest
research in these sub-areas: domains and computation, topology and
convergence, domains, lattices, and continuity, and representations
of domains as event and logical structures.
Researchers and students in theoretical computer science should
find this a valuable source of reference. The survey papers at the
beginning should be of particular interest to those who wish to
gain an understanding of some general ideas and techniques in this
area.
Although there are thousands of community gardens across North
America, only Seattle and a few other cities include them in their
urban development plans. While the conditions and experiences in
Seattle may be unique, the city's programs offer insights and
lessons for other cities and communities. "Greening Cities, Growing
Communities" examines:
-- Planning and design strategies that support the development
of urban community gardens as sustainable places for education and
recreation
-- Approaches to design processes, construction, and stewardship
that utilize volunteer and community participation and create a
sense of community
-- Programs that enable gardens to serve as a resource for
social justice for low income and minority communities, immigrants,
and seniors
-- Opportunities to develop active-living frameworks by
strategically locating community gardens and linking them with
other forms of recreation and open space as part of
pedestrian-accessible networks
"Greening Cities, Growing Communities" focuses on six community
gardens in Seattle where there has been a strong network of
knowledge and resources. These case studies reveal the capacity of
community gardens to serve larger community issues, such as food
security; urban ecosystem health; demonstration of sustainable
gardening and building practices; active living and
pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods; and equity concerns. The authors
also examine how landscape architects, planners, and allied design
professionals can better interact in the making of these unique
urban open spaces, and how urban community gardens offer
opportunities for professionals to have a more prominent role in
community activism and urban sustainability.
Jeffrey Hou and Julie M. Johnson are associate professors of
landscape architecture at the University of Washington. Laura J.
Lawson is associate professor of landscape architecture at the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
