A concise exploration into the ways Islam in western Europe has
developed from early immigration and settlement to the point where
a native generation is developing ways of being European and
Muslim. England is given special attention as a case study, but as
the discussion moves into the present and the future, reference is
made to all of western Europe. Factors in this process not only
arise from the Muslim communities themselves but also from the
inherited structures of European society and state. Although the
issues are complex and tense, the author is generally optimistic
about the outcome.

Bringing together the leading European expertise in behaviour and
design of silos, this important new book is an essential reference
source for all concerned with current problems and developments in
silo technology. Silos are used in an enormous range of industries
and the handling characteristics of many industrial materials
require different approaches for successful, economical
installations. For the first time, the many approaches taken by
specialists in different fields are brought together in a unified
way so that common problems can be addressed. This book is the
result of a four-year European project - Concerted Action - Silos -
funded under the Brite Euram programme which has involved over 100
expert engineers and researchers from all over Europe, in seven
working groups.

The state of the art of the bioengineering aspects of the
morphology of microorganisms and their relationship to process
performance are described in this volume. Materials and methods of
the digital image analysis and mathematical modeling of hyphal
elongation, branching and pellet formation as well as their
application to various fungi and actinomycetes during the
production of antibiotics and enzymes are presented.

This book constitutes the proceedings of the 9th International
Workshop on Multiple Access Communications, MACOM 2016, held in
Aalborg, Denmark, in November 2016. The 10 full papers presented in
this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 12
submissions. They were organized in topical sections named:
physical layer aspects; MAC layer aspects; and information theory.
Rationel Mekanik" I, II meine Vorlesungen iiber theoretische
gedient.
Kapitel ausgedehntere Abschnitte rein mathemati schen Charakters
setzen."
This book examines the processes, costs and benefits associated
with recycling. Topics discussed include the cost-effectiveness of
recycling municipal solid waste; recycling industrial and urban
wastes in tropical agricultural soils; the waste of electric and
electronic equipment recycling; polymer waste pyrolysis; water
recycling in process industries; fly-ash recycling; re-use of
ceramic wastes in construction; CO2 recycling and composting as an
alternative for industrial waste recycling.
