Originally published in 1990, this book contains the full text and
translation of razos and troubadour songs. The coupling of the
razos and songs in this edition is based on the conviction that
though the lyrics should first be read on their own, it is highly
instructive to read the two together, as the razo authors intended.
This allows the reader to attempt to read as a thirteenth-century
contemporary might have.
Originally published in 1988, this book is a complete translation
of The Byelorussian Tristan, alongside textual notes.

The constant in architecture's evolution is change. Adaptive
Architecture explores structures, or environments that accommodate
multiple functions at the same time, sequentially, or at
periodically recurring events. It demonstrates how changing
technological, economic, ecological and social conditions have
altered the playing field for architecture from the design of
single purpose structures to the design of interacting systems of
synergistically interdependent, distributed buildings. Including
contributors from the US, UK, Japan, Australia, Germany and South
Africa, the essays are woven into a five-part framework which
provides a broad and unique treatment of this important and timely
issue.
Featuring 730 freshly translated poems by 114 authors, the main focus of this anthology is on European languages, but it also includes Arabic and Hebrew poetry of medieval Spain, arranged chronologically and accompanied by commentary about the poets' lives and work.
The most comprehensive anthology of medieval lyrics ever published
in English. 110 authors, including 9 women; 295 selections,
including some hymns and narratives; 11 photographs; and 14
Linguistic areas.
Investment Banking: Institutions, Politics, and Law provides an
economic rationale for the dominant role of investment banks in the
capital markets, and uses it to explain both the historical
evolution of the investment banking industry and also recent
changes to its organization. Although investment decisions rely
upon price-relevant information, it is impossible to establish
property rights over it and hence it is very hard to coordinate its
exchange. The authors argue that investment banks help to resolve
this problem by managing "information marketplaces," within which
extra-legal institutions support the production and dissemination
of information that is important to investors. Reputations and
relationships are more important in fulfilling this role than
financial capital.
The authors substantiate their theory with reference to the
industry's evolution during the last three centuries. They show how
investment banking networks were formed, and identify the informal
contracts that they supported. This historical development points
to tensions between the relational contracting of investment banks
and the regulatory impulses of the State, thus providing some
explanation for the periodic large-scale State intervention in the
operation of capital markets. Their theory also provides a
technological explanation for the massive restructuring of the
capital markets in recent decades, which the authors argue can be
used to think about the likely future direction of the investment
banking industry.
Architecture and Health recognizes the built environment and health
as inextricable encouraging a new mind-set for the profession. Over
40 international award-winning projects are included to explore
innovative design principles linked to health outcomes. The book is
organized into three interdependent health domains-individual,
community, and global-in which each case study proposes
context-specific architectural responses. Case studies include
children's hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, elderly housing,
mental health facilities, cancer support centers, clinics, healthy
communities, healthcare campuses, wellness centers, healing
gardens, commercial offices, infrastructure for developing
countries, sustainable design, and more. Representing the United
States, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Australia, each author brings a
new perspective to health and its related architectural response.
This book brings a timely focus to a subject matter commonly
constricted by normative building practices and transforms the
dialogue into one of creativity and innovation. With over 200 color
images, this book is an essential read for architects, designers,
and students to explore and analyze designed environments that
promote health and well-being.

A. Die problemgerechte Dars. tellung von Finanzierungsvorgangen
Akzeptiert man die These: "The logical way for an economist to
study finance is to study it as a market problem, 1), so wirft man
ihnen gehandel t werden: "The market is a place where commodities
handelt sich urn abstrakte Rechts- titel, urn "titles to property
