"My Walks with Remi - Book Two" is the second book of devotions written by Cindy J. Anderson. Inspired by stunning color photos of nature taken during Cindy's walks with her Portuguese Water Dog, Remi, she invites her readers to see God's presence around them in a unique and thought-provoking way. The photos in each devotion will become visual cues for the reader in their everyday life to remind them of the life-lesson illustrated in each devotion. Walking with Remi amidst his beautiful surroundings in Southern California will help the reader experience God's artistry in the soaring mountains, the sparkling blue of the Pacific Ocean, and the vibrant light that shines on the American Riviera, which makes colors pop against the backdrop of the clear, azure-blue sky.
With Scripture that spans both the Old and New Testaments, the devotions are a witness to how God still speaks to us today. The Scripture verses, photos, reflections, prayers, and life application questions that accompany each devotion will uplift and encourage the reader and help them feel God's presence walking with them each day.
"My Walks with Remi - Book Two" will delight the eyes and nourish the soul.

"Knock your socks off service doesn't just happen. It requires
coaching on an ongoing basis. Now, thanks to authors Kristin
Anderson and Ron Zemke, supervisors have a practical guide to the
day-to-day challenges that arise in training superior customer
service people. This newest "Knock Your Socks Off" book explains
how to help frontline employees hone their skills, maintain the
motivation to perform, and meet new situations head-on. The authors
present a model for successfully coaching anyone, anywhere, and
they show readers how to apply it in familiar coaching situations.
Everyone can appreciate Zemke and Anderson's strategies for
handling the toughest coaching problems. And they will learn a most
important new skill - teaching employees to be peer coaches, a
growing need in the current era of teams and of doing more with
less."
Dr. Gregory, a renowned nuclear weapons researcher, is not only
dead -- he's been charred to a radioactive cinder.
Since this is a death on Federal property, Mulder and Scully are
hastily called in. As FBI agents who specialize in unexplained
phenomena, they are the investigators of The X-Files, strange and
inexplicable cases which are also mysteries that the FBI doesn't
want solved.
When a second victim, completely unrelated to nuclear science
or Dr. Gregory is obliterated in the New Mexico desert, and then a
third dies the same way in Washington, DC, Mulder and Scully begin
to focus on the frightening dimension of their task. The bizarre
deaths cannot be a coincidence. And as they work to uncover the
secret unifying element that unites these deaths, it becomes clear
that this twisted puzzle has fatal consequences for the entire
world.
Two continents at war: the Three Kingdoms and Ishara have been in
conflict for a thousand years. But when an outside threat arises -
the reawakening of a powerful ancient race that wants to remake the
world - the two warring nations must somehow set aside generations
of hatred to form an alliance against a far more deadly enemy.
The Color of Language helps to shed new light on the
intersectionality of language, race and identity by offering
readers a unique multi-perspective approach to the proscription of
identity when language and culture have a direct impact on the
understanding of race and ethnicity. Using the lens of
Afrocentricity, Womanist pedagogy and Foster et al.’s Heuristic
for Thinking about Culturally Responsive Teaching (HiTCRiT) as an
important pedagogical tool, Kami Anderson discusses
raciolinguistics and its implications as a tool for language
activism for Black students in the foreign language classroom,
demonstrating how supremacist notions of language have often
hindered the success of Black students in this area. Engaging in
Afrocentric language activism to challenges hegemonic notions, The
Color of Language explores the inclusion of Afrolatino culture as a
means of offering new pedagogical solutions that can foster
language equity for African American students in the foreign
language classroom today.
Real estate is sold as a much safer investment than the constantly
fluctuating stock market. Share price volatility is compared
unfavourably with the steadier and impressive gains made from real
estate which is, we are told, 'as safe as houses'. As millions of
Americans - and countless others in the Western world - have
recently found to their cost, house prices can also suddenly and
dramatically drop. Yet no other text on real estate, either current
or from the past, mentions this fact, reinforcing the perception
that real estate is an almost risk-free investment. Now for the
first time, and long overdue, a book that details and explains the
cyclical nature of real estate. The latest real estate downturn in
the USA (and in other countries) is just one of many that have
occurred since 1800 with astonishing regularity. This book is the
story of the American experience of those downturns: the move out
of recession, how the banking system facilitates that move, the
boom and the characters that shaped it, the bust and accompanying
bank failures, and then the recession, or worse, depression. This
is always followed by a new cycle repeating each phase again,
varied only by the new ways bankers find to avoid the regulations
put in place after each collapse to ensure it will never happen
again. The Secret Life of Real Estate and Banking explains, quite
simply, how the real estate cycle originates, offers a fascinating
study of US history to illustrate the stages through which each
cycle passes, then explains why this cycle of boom and bust must
repeat, given present economic conditions. Real estate can only be
a truly winning investment if you know the cycle. For investors,
the author has designed an 18-year Real Estate Clock which plots
the progress of the cycle, with tell-tale signs so that investors
can recognise exactly where they are in the cycle at any point in
time and so help them decide whether to invest, sit tight or sell.
He has refined this clock over a period of many years and those who
have attended his courses have found it an invaluable and
remarkably accurate guide for their investment strategies, not only
in real estate. With its invaluable insights and practical
guidance, The Secret Life of Real Estate and Banking is a book for
both novice and experienced investors alike who want to know why
the real estate cycle moves as it does, learn how this movement can
be forecast well in advance, and more importantly, wish to learn
how to profit from this knowledge. A must read for any serious
investor.
