Heading out to the fishing waters of the Flemish Cap in search of swordfish, Captain Billy Tyne (George Clooney) and his crew soon find themselves overtaken by a massive storm, one which taxes their courage to the very limit. Focusing mainly on the adventures of the Andrea Gail, but also taking in the attempts of a rescue helicopter to rescue the crew of an ailing sailboat, Wolfgang Petersen's film uses impressive state-of-the-art effects to present a vivid account of the storm's awesome, destructive power.
Double bill of two gentle tales about friendly aliens, hope and rejuvenation. In the first 'Cocoon', three elderly friends in a Florida retirement home (Don Ameche, Wilford Brimley and Hume Cronyn) discover a swimming pool that renews their energy and gives them a new lease of life. The pool is full of cocoons belonging to a group of friendly aliens in human disguise. In 'Cocoon 2', the group, who were taken to a better life by the aliens in the original film, return to Earth for a visit. They help the aliens on a rescue mission to save the remaining cocoons left on Earth, which have become endangered by an imminent earthquake.
Fievel and friends are back in this third animated adventure. The chirpy mouse sets out to help Mr Mouskewitz escape the drudgery of the Fat Rats' factory, setting out with Tony and Tiger the pussycat to find their fortune with a magical treasure map.

In 14th century Scotland, the English nobles are staking their claim for lands and the Scottish throne. When William Wallace is left an orphan by the brutality of the English, he vows to make Scotland strong again. Wallace grows up into a paradox of a man - on the one hand very well educated, on the other a ruthless killer and barbarian. As an adult he succeeds in uniting the Scottish clans to fight the English oppressors, and is only undone by betrayal and greed.

Arriving at Princeton in 1947, Nash resolves to make an important new contribution to his field and begins developing his insights into game theory. After this work proves a great success, Nash moves to MIT, where he dates and then marries his student Alicia (Jennifer Connelly). However, it's not long before the mathematician begins to receive visits from a shady secret service agent (Ed Harris) who wants him to do some important work for the government. Academy Awards were won for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress (Connelly).
When he is the only survivor of a cop shooting, hard-nosed Jack Cates (Nick Nolte) springs prison inmate Reggie Hammond (Eddie Murphy) from jail for just forty-eight hours to help him catch the perpetrators. Cates knows that he can rely on Reggie's assistance, as the killers are now heading for the half million stash of dollars for which the jailbird went down in the first place. This was Murphy's big screen debut, and was followed in 1990 by the sequel 'Another 48 Hours'.

From the moment twin brothers Jared (Freddie Highmore) and Simon (also Highmore) move with their sister (Sarah Bolger) and mother (Mary-Louise Parker) into their great-great uncle Arthur Spiderwick (David Strathairn)'s run-down old house, strange things begin to happen. Unable to explain the unusual disturbances that seem to be occurring on a daily basis, the family blames Jared. Determined to prove his innocence, Jared enlists the help of his siblings in investigating what's truly responsible for the strange goings-on. Pretty soon, they uncover the truth of the Spiderwick estate and the magical creatures that inhabit it. 'Charlotte's Web' (2006) is a retelling of the EB White children's classic about the friendship that develops between a pig, a spider and a little girl. After the farm's prize sow gives birth to a grand litter, little Fern the farmer's daughter (Dakota Fanning) falls in love with the runt, whom she names Wilbur (voice of Dominic Scott Kay). After Fern's pleading with her father for Wilbur's life, the fretful little porker is no less haunted by visions of his demise/apple sauce-pairing and cries rather a lot. Charlotte (voice of Julia Roberts), a friendly spider, soothes him and becomes his firm friend. Together, they hatch a plan whereby Charlotte will spin words into her web and create a sensation so as the heat is drawn from the imminent pork rib BBQ. The film also features the voices of John Cleese, Oprah Winfrey, Steve Buscemi, Reba McEntyre, Robert Redford and Sam Shepard.

Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella (Kevin Costner) is encouraged by a mysterious voice to build a baseball pitch on his land. According to the celestial guide, this unusual step will result in the appearance of the ghost of his father's hero, the baseball legend Shoeless Joe Jackson (Ray Liotta).
