This book (Approx. 154,172 words in length -- 113 Chapters)
contains many of my book titles on the subject of Holy Bible
doctrines from a fundamental Christian faith perspective. While
some chapters include aspects of what some Christians refer to as
"Pentecostal" or "Charismatic" beliefs, due to mentions of
miraculous events and of the supernatural "gifts of the Spirit" as
described in the New Testament, the majority of Bible teachings
included, are beliefs held by a majority of fundamental Christian
believers but with aspects included that you do not often hear
coming from the pulpits of most evangelical churches due to the
sometimes controversial nature behind them. If there is obviously
well established scriptural-backing for doctrines that are taught
within their proper biblical contexts, Christian believers should
be given a chance to understand them as fully as God's Word permits
and by revelation of the truths within them, as guided by the Holy
Spirit. Certainly, I do not claim to have any sort of
extra-revelation as a "special teacher" or as a self-proclaimed
prophet of some type. I am simply a graduate of theological studies
and a Bible teacher who has served in non-pastoral teaching
positions and as a guest speaker to fundamental Christian churches,
beginning in my youth. My calling has actually been to teach as a
layperson, when opportunity was given and to use the avenue of
writing to express these teachings as God has inspired me to do so.
My belief is that God opened to me some of the deeper aspects of
these doctrines as he has for many others, due to my intense desire
to learn from His Word and to share it with others. Do I make
mistakes as I present teaching from God's Word? I certainly do
however, I approach the teaching of God's Word with great reverence
for it and for God who inspired it and I am extremely cautious to
teach only that which I truly and with firm conviction, believe to
be what God's Word actually reveals. While there are certainly
false preachers and teachers who purposefully pervert God's Word or
who teach it from an evil motive, there are also sincere teachers
like myself whose humanity causes them to make those occasional
mistakes that are unintentional but inevitable. While it has
sometimes been implied by Christians in some circles, that someone
who is truly led by God's Spirit can never be in error or mistaken
while under His Anointing to teach or preach, the fact is that
while the human element is involved, man never becomes infallible
when sharing truths (especially the finer points) from God's Word.
With these statements in mind, I simply ask readers of this book to
cautiously study the teachings I offer and to pray for God's
leading, while comparing my commentaries to what the scriptures are
saying on each subject addressed. Space is provided at the bottom
of pages for notes to be added by the reader. SECTION ONE (9

With the advent of more self-publishing venues, more authors are
placing their written works on sale at all of the major bookseller
websites. This has admittedly opened the door for books of
lesser-quality to be published. Understandably, this has angered
some readers, who also serve as book reviewers. Some are upset at
the fact that the major booksellers are allowing trash titles
(inferior quality books), to be advertised on their sites.
Independent authors who have good quality books to offer but whose
written works are not at the standard of premium-quality novels,
are sometimes persecuted. The fore-mentioned reviewers, are going
overboard in attempting to eradicate inferior-quality books, by
harshly criticizing them, via their written attacks. These are
often directed at the author, as well as book content. Should this
be occurring? My belief is that yes...harsh reviews are necessary
in some cases but how far should a reviewer go in expressing their
dislikes for book products? Should they go so far as to use extreme
ridicule, spiteful remarks and other attack language in their
reviews? I would ask readers, to consider the points of perspective
I have attempted to present as objectively as possible, within the
chapters and sections of this book. SUBTITLE: "Can Motives Be

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Toward the end of 2012, I made the
careful decision to publish an eBook on the subject of "unfairly
unfavorable book reviews," which would be the first in a three-part
experimental series (observing reviewer responses to each eBook
installment). I have never forgotten, at any time during this
process, that most reviewers are people with honest intentions and
who do a great job expressing likes and dislikes for books they
have read. Still, with reviews in some circles, continuing to head
the direction of "anything goes," this experiment was important and
I have no regrets for using it to help bring awareness to proper
versus improper book reviewing practices.

(This book is approximately 3,120 words in length.) -- Most of the
general population is not well informed about a common condition
affecting the liver, that affects an estimated 29 million people in
America alone. Up to 6.5 million of these people, will go on to
experience inflammation in their livers or what is also referred to
as "steatohepatitis." Many will eventually experience cirrhosis in
their livers, meaning scarring/lesions that will begin to appear
within the organ, which is irreversible and that can eventually
lead to death or in the need for a life-saving liver transplant.
The author whose words you will read in this book, is a patient who
has lived with a condition of non-alcoholic fatty liver, since the
year 2007 (for six years at the time of this writing). -- My case
of the disease has not gone on to become steatohepatitis but I have
been diagnosed with enlargement of my liver, which is reversible at
this point, if I follow my doctor's treatments and a weight loss
plan (my obesity is between moderate and severe). While I am not a
medical professional, I am one who can relate facts concerning this
disease, from firsthand experience with it. I can also pass along
the knowledge I have accrued, through six years of extensive
research on literally hundreds of reputable medical websites, as
well as from blogs and articles written by fellow liver disease
patients. While the information I will relate is not as extensive
as that one could contain through a professional medical journal, I
do believe I can express information that most laypersons would be
seeking, in addition to sharing my personal experience with this
potentially very serious disease. -- It is my sincere hope that the
information contained within the chapters, will prove to be
beneficial to the readers who obtain it. - Jim Lowrance -- TABLE OF

Some Statistics including those by the Centers for Disease Control
(CDC) state that up to 25-million Americans suffer from asthma.
That's approximately I in every 12 people or about 8.2 percent of
the US population. Asthma is more common in women than in men and
is also more common among African Americans and Hispanics than in
Caucasians. Approximately 3,000 asthma deaths occur in the US each
year. It is believed that undiagnosed asthma in a significantly
large percent of sufferers in years past was due to less-adequate
diagnosing of the disease. Better education on the types of asthma,
its causes and related conditions (i.e. Chronic Bronchitis,
Emphysema and COPD) is helping to detect more cases earlier, so
that treatments can slow progression and improve the symptoms of
these common respiratory diseases. As a fellow asthma sufferer and
patient advocate, it is my sincere hope that this book helps to
educate its readers on this very important medical subject. This
book is not intended to be an extensive manual but is intended to
contain information most often sought by laypersons on the subject.

Some readers of this short subject resource, may believe that
authors who are attacked, should not feel that it is wrong for
those who are doing so or that reviewers who are attacked, should
not feel that it is a wrong action by those perpetrators either. In
reality, both parties should feel that the other involved party has
a right to express her/his opinions about a book or a review but
that it should be done "within reasonable decency." By this term, I
simply refer to published opinions directed at other living people,
not containing attacks, defamation or purposeful twisting of what a
book - or of what a review expresses generally (purposeful
misrepresentation), via one's own public response to them. I've
made similar statements before but I will say again that "freedom
of speech" has had its definition expanded upon by people who would
like to see an anything goes society (at least they think they
would). However, there are laws and online website guidelines that
are supposed to prevent this from happening. They are not placed
there to take away a free society but so that threats of murder,
public rants or threats expressed otherwise, about a persons race,
religion, sex or orientation, are all disallowed. By setting
limitations on a freedom, you prevent chaos from evolving from it
and you actually protect many other rights at the same time. For
example, if one threatens someone else with bodily harm, publicly,
this is an illegal expression that is not free to be practiced and
can lead to the arrest of the guilty party. When you hear some
proponents of freedom of speech and expression, defending that
right (a very proper thing to do, when done in-balance), you would
think that they believe these freedoms were granted to free
societies, so that anything can be said or expressed. However, try
expressing your perceived freedom to walk naked in a public place
for example, and you are guaranteed to be thrown in jail or at
least fined for either misdemeanor or felony "indecent exposure."
There have been blogs created addressing both sides of the
"authors-reviewers wars" issue, being that of authors feeling that
some reviews are going overboard by including attack type language
within them. Some authors on the other hand, are not willing to
receive critical reviews of any kind, even those that are written
in a straightforward, honest fashion but that include some
strongly-dissatisfied language within them (something I have been
falsely accused of complaining about). Anyone... and I do mean
"anyone," who does not see that there literally are two extremes
that exist within the author and reviewer arena, either are in
purposeful denial or they simply aren't paying attention. There are
in fact authors who can't take even honestly-offered criticism and
who actually attack reviewers for giving them an unfavorable review
.... (Much more is covered within the three book Headings listed
below). TABLE OF HEADINGS: HEADING ONE: Is the Authors-Reviewers

Over the years, I have observed the different trends that occur
among people who are non-believers in God and also among those who
are believers but who for some reason, have become angry with the
God they have previously embraced. The latter group I mention, were
not 'on the edge believers' either but rather full-fledged people
of faith in God and usually of Christian belief as I am (in my
country of America, 75% of the population claims Christianity). One
of these trends that is very common among non-believers, who even
claim that this aspect of life that I will mention, is their very
reason for not believing in God, is the same reason why some
believers are angry at God. It has to do with tragedies they
witness or experience in life. You can hear them making comments to
the effect of: "How could God allow such tragedies and atrocities
to occur in this world, when the Bible says he is a loving God"?
Many answers to these questions, are given in this 4,597 word book,
through discussion of what the scriptures actually have to say
regarding this difficult subject (SEE my many other Bible Study
Subjects, in book, eBook and audiobook formats.) TABLE OF HEADINGS:

This book contains 6 of the best "Question and Answer" discussions
that I have had with fellow thyroid myopathy and neuropathy
patients, over the years (approx. 3,900 words in length). The
people who asked me these questions, came to know me through the
many thyroid disease books and articles I have published since
year-2005. They were also aware of the fact that I was diagnosed
with peripheral neuropathy and myopathy, as a result of thyroid
disease and nutritional deficiencies and that I have been receiving
ongoing treatment for them. While these discussions are mainly
about symptoms and diagnoses of metabolic muscle and nerve
diseases, treatments for them are also discussed. For more
information on treatments, see my book titled: "Neuropathy and
Myopathy in Treated Thyroid Disease." Certainly patients should
look to their doctors for direction and advice, first and foremost
but it can bring additional comfort when one can relate to another
patient who has actually "been there." Experiencing significant,
negative changes in nerves and muscles of the body, can be a scary
thing. It can be very helpful to hear from someone else who has
experienced the same fears and struggles, that these conditions can
bring. While the information contained in the Q & A that
follows, is not as extensive as one can find within a medical
journal, it still touches on many of the concerns that arise within
thyroid patients, who experience symptoms of chronic nerve pain and
muscle weakness. It is my hope that this general informational
resource proves to be helpful and educational to those who obtain
it. - Jim Lowrance TABLE OF CONTENTS: INTRODUCTION (pages 3 and 4)

In the chapters of this book, I present information regarding
common emotional conditions of "neurosis" and the less-common
conditions of mental illness referred-to as "psychosis." It is my
intention to help define the differences between these two types of
emotional and mental disorders but to also present the differences
between common conditions of neurosis that are in the anxiety and
depression categories. Subjects covered include descriptions of
major depression, bipolar depression, schizophrenia and different
types of major anxiety disorders. Signs, symptoms and diagnosis are
discussed, as well as the treatments that are administered for
these different types of disorders (i.e. pharmaceutical,
psychiatric and natural therapies). It is my hope that this book
will provide a good basic educational resource for readers wishing
to learn about identifying and treating mental and emotional
disorders. This book is not intended to be an extensive manual but

This book is also included as a section in "The Everything Thyroid
Disease Book ," so this version is for those who are interested in
the subject of hyperthyroidism specifically (also available in
eBook). Hyperthyroid conditions account for about 20% of thyroid
disease cases. The causes of an overactive thyroid gland can be
varied but the most common cause is an autoimmune condition called
Graves' disease. Complications can also occur with hyperthyroidism,
including Thyroid Eye Disease, toxic diffuse goiter, hot nodules
and myopathy of the muscles. Some hyperthyroid conditions can
become life-threatening as well (i.e. thyroid storm). These and
other subjects related to hyperthyroidism, including symptoms,
diagnosis and treatments are discussed in this resource. NOTE: This
book is approximately 6,539 words in length. The "Best Darn"
reference in the title, is not to imply that this is an extensive
medical journal but rather that the book contains all aspects of
information on the subject that most laypersons would be seeking.

It is my hope and desire to provide a fairly extensive answer
(approx. 22,000 words in length), for the hope that Christian faith
brings to practicing believers in the Bible and faith in Jesus
Christ. Through the 18 chapters this book contains, I provide
answers from a Biblical perspective, for many of the age-old
questions regarding life, death, good and evil. A great listen for
agnostics who question the authenticity of the scriptures and a
great study tool for Christians seeking to learn more about
"revealed knowledge" the Holy Bible contains, that sometimes fails
to be taught from church pulpits. -- "give an answer to every man

(Approximately 6,000 words in length.) Why would I see the need to
write about a horrible "bizarre bullying" experience, that I had as
a teen who grew up in the 1970s, rather than to relate all of the
glory days I experienced? My reason, is because I think we
sometimes forget about just how hard it can be for a teen who is
growing into adulthood, to survive the negative challenges of it.
This is true especially of those harsh experiences involving
mean-spirited people, that the vast majority of kids are affected
by at some point during their transition into adulthood. I do not
wish to imply that this stops when we become adults (there are lots
of mean-spirited adults) but kids are more susceptible to "hurt
feelings." We sometimes become passive about how difficult and
demanding this time in a person's life can be. We see movies and
television that turn the sometimes "horrible experiences" of youth,
into humorous plots and comical skits. The fact is however, that
the "teen years" are sometimes not survived by those who are trying
to grow up through them and it is believed to be the most difficult
time in life, according to experts in the psychiatric fields of
study (especially ages 13 and 14). I was one of those teens who
found myself to be experiencing out-of-control emotions at
different points while I was growing up. Much of this stemmed from
experiences that were occurring in my life, that I found serious
difficulty coping with. At certain points, I began to resort to
methods of escapism, including drug and alcohol abuse. These of
course, did not succeed in providing me real deliverance from my
problems but only served to embed them more-deeply into my soul.
These "vices," as some people refer to them, have a real ability to
quell a person's pain for moments at a time but they also make it
far more difficult to deal with them, once the diversion and
numbing effects of them have worn off. They are in fact "dead ends"
that only serve to cause further bondage in the lives of young
people, who have already become imprisoned by negative emotional
imbalances. I believe by sharing one of my own negative
life-experiences -- one that was seriously and
negatively-impacting, I can help to demonstrate how serious these
types of experiences can be in the lives of teenagers, who are
trying to survive growing up in a tough and sometimes cruel world.
I also share what I believe to be a major source of hope for teens
and that which can give them that seriously-needed realization,
that their lives have purpose, meaning and direction. TABLE OF
