Recent debates have used the concept of "transnational history" to
broaden research on historical subjects that transcend national
boundaries and encourage a shift away from official inter-state
interactions to institutions, groups, and actors that have been
obscured. This approach proves particularly fruitful for the
dynamic field of global gender and women's history. By looking at
the restless lives and work of women's activists in informal
border-crossings, ephemeral NGOs, the lower management of
established international organizations, and other global networks,
this volume reflects the potential of a new perspective that allows
for a more adequate analysis of transnational activities. By
pointing out cultural hierarchies, the vicissitudes of translation
and re-interpretation, and the ambiguity of intercultural exchange,
this volume demonstrates the critical potential of transnational
history. It allows us to see the limits of universalist and
cosmopolitan claims so dear to many historical actors and
historians.
This is a first book-long analysis showing how the notion of
‘hybrid warfare’ was used to transform security policies and
discourses in an EU/NATO country. Building on current debates in
International Political Sociology, Critical Security Studies, and
Critical Geopolitics, it provides a novel account of how crisis,
geopolitics, uncertainty, and expertise are intertwined in the
social construction of threats. Based on extensive and original
empirical research of large textual archive and elite interviews in
the Czech Republic and Brussels, the book shows how officials,
bureaucrats, journalists, activists, and experts all participate in
the reshaping of security in a new geopolitical environment.
Zooming on the case of Czechia and its specific Central European
context, it complements the predominantly Western-centric studies
of insecurity with an account of how the liminal
position on an East/West boundary influences security politics. As
a first study of its kind and scope, it will be of interest to
academics and students interested in Central European politics,
practices and discourses of hybrid warfare, as well as critical
approaches to security and geopolitics.
This is a book about discontents of the global order. Building on
the innovative reading of ISIS as an international revolutionary
actor, it explores the movement's everyday political practices and
confronts them with other global revolutionaries to arrive at a
novel understanding of revolutionary agency in global politics.
Benefiting in particular from Deleuze and Guattari's notion of war
machine and understanding of hybridity, the book shows how modern
revolutionaries seek to disrupt the existing Westphalian order of
modern states, yet are inevitably entangled with it and even
reproduce in their conduct its founding principles. Including
discussions on movements ranging from the Bolsheviks and
Palestinian revolutionary groups to Khomeinists, to insurgents in
Iraq and ISIS, the book pushes forward debates informed by critical
social theory of revolution, violence, resistance and global order.

Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2010 im Fachbereich BWL - Rechnungswesen,

(Betriebswirtschaftliche Steuerlehre), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract:
aufstellen mussten, was das Konfliktpotenzial aufzeigt.
nationalen Gesetzgebung Deutschlands deutlich. So wurde im Rahmen
des Jahressteuergesetzes 2009 der Versuch unternommen, einige
Regelungen europarechtskonform auszugestalten, um den Folgen eines
Vertragsverletzungsverfahren, welches auf Grund der
Europarechtswidrigkeit einzelner gesetzlicher Bestimmungen bereits
eingeleitet worden war, zu entgehen. International operierende
