This book explores precisely how mathematics allows us to model and predict the behaviour of physical systems, to an amazing degree of accuracy. The second part of the book analyses how Ranciere's writing has been taken up in considerations of emancipatory, democratic, and political education, art(s) education, and innovative work in educational research.
