Romantic comedy starring Drew Barrymore and Justin Long. When Erin (Barrymore) and Garrett (Long) meet on a blind date, they both know that they don't want a serious relationship; after all, Erin is leaving town in only six weeks' time. Vowing to keep things light, the two embark on a fun short-term fling, hampered only by the antics of Garrett's eccentric roommate. But as the time comes for Erin to leave, they both realise they feel more deeply for one another and decide at the last minute to try a long-distance relationship - despite repeated warnings from their friends. Can they overcome the challenges posed by the many miles that divide them and do what it takes to 'go the distance'?
The Farrelly brothers are among the creators of this compendium-style comedy filmed in the style of 1970s sketch films such as 'Kentucky Fried Movie' and 'Groove Tube'. The film comprises over 20 comedy shorts, loosely held together by an over-arching storyline and featuring a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet, Richard Gere, Chloë Moretz, Gerard Butler, Emma Stone, Kristen Bell and Elizabeth Banks.
Farrelly brothers sex comedy starring Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis. Best buddies Rick (Wilson) and Fred (Sudeikis) have both been married for many years, and are worried that their relationships with their wives (Jenna Fischer and Christina Applegate) have lost their spark. Their wives decide to take a novel approach to the problem by granting their jaded husbands a 'hall pass': seven days of freedom to do whatever they want with whomever they want, with no questions asked. This offer sounds like a dream come true for Rick and Fred, but they quickly discover that single life is not all they had cracked it up to be - especially when their wives start indulging in a little extramarital activity of their own.
Seth Gordon directs this (star-studded) comedy about three long-suffering friends who hatch a plan to kill off the nasty bosses who are making their lives hell. Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis star as the trio, who conspire to murder the bosses (played by Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell and Kevin Spacey) who are ruining their chances of success and happiness. However, their attempts to carry out their murderous plan do not go quite as they envisaged. Jamie Foxx and Donald Sutherland also appear.
Romantic comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler. Down-on-his-luck bounty hunter Milo Boyd (Butler) is assigned what appears to be a dream job when he is asked to track down his bail-jumping ex-wife, reporter Nicole Hurly (Aniston). Looking forward to an easy payday, Milo is soon reminded that nothing has ever been so straightforward when it comes to him and Nicole. As she promptly disappears on the trail of a hot murder cover-up story, a game of one-upmanship ensues between the two exes as they resort to every trick in the book to outsmart each other.
Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day return as three long-suffering friends in this comedy sequel. After enduring some trying experiences with their former bosses, Nick Hendricks (Bateman), Kurt Buckman (Sudeikis) and Dale Arbus (Day) decide to go into business together with their invention of the 'Shower Buddy'. However, their investor (Christoph Waltz) pulls his funding and instead creates his own superior version of their product. In an attempt to save their business, the trio enlist the help of ex-con Dean Jones (Jamie Foxx) and kidnap and hold to ransom the investor's grown-up son Rex (Chris Pine), who actually seems pleased with the situation. Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey also reprise their roles as the horrible bosses from the previous film
