Bruce Wayne aka Batman (voice of Jason O'Mara) is having difficulty controling his son Damian aka Robin (Stuart Allan), who often disobeys his father's orders, sneaking out of the house to fight crime. So far, however, he has followed Batman's order not to kill anyone but when assassin Talon (Jeremy Sisto), a member of the organised group of criminals known as the Court of Owls, tries to recruit him Damian begins a journey down a dark path.
