The earthling Malcolm Talbot is taken by Mawgri Qampoq on a mission to end illegal mining on the plant Aasheen, inhabited by intelligent amphibians. They are confronted with a criminal mastermind, a gang of thugs, illegal workers, and pirates, all who want a share of the loot. To end the plundering won't be easy.

A former celebrity hires Buck to prove that her ex-husband killed her executive assistant almost twenty years before. Buck must locate the corpse to unravel a web of deceptions that hides the truth.
