This open access book presents a unique interdiscplinary analysis
of urban projects promoted by the EU from a comparative perspective
This book presents cross-sectional and cross-time analyses at the
territorial level targeted by these initiatives focusing on the
design, theory and impacts of urban projects developed under the
framework of initiatives promoted by the European Union. The book
includes a new methodology to analyse the design and theory of
urban plans (the comparative urban portfolio analysis) and
quasi-experimental strategies to perform impact assessment at the
neighbourhood level (the territorial target of those initiatives).
Although empirical analyses focus on examples in Spain, the
resulting analytical and methodological outcomes of these studies
can be applied in a broader context to analyse integral urban
policies in other countries.

This book constitutes the proceedings of the 15th European
Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning, EC-TEL 2020, held in
Heidelberg, Germany, in September 2020. The 24 research papers and
20 demo and 5 poster papers presented in this volume were carefully
reviewed and selected from 91 submissions. The European Conference
on Technology-Enhance Learning, which celebrates its 15th
anniversary this year, is committed to address global challenges
and quality education. The papers deal with the Sustainable
Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 and SDG 10, to help to reduce
the existing gaps and inequalities between countries and regions
from around the world in terms of inclusiveness, equity, access,
and quality of education. The chapters: "Designing an Online
Self-Assessment for Informed Study Decisions: The User
Perspective"; "Living with Learning Difficulties: Two Case Studies
Exploring the Relationship Between Emotion and Performance in
Students With Learning Difficulties"; "Applying Instructional
Design Principles on Augmented Reality Cards for Computer Science
Education"; and "Teaching Simulation Literacy With Evacuations -
Concept, Technology, and Material for a Novel Approach" are
available open access under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0

pandemic EC-TEL 2020 was held as an virtual event.
A study with Latino/a subjects highlighting two key conclusions: 1)
The subjects employ a modality of empathy which is qualitatively
different from classical views of empathy in pastoral care, 2) The
subjects employ a series of selfobjects transferences that, when
considered from a Self Psychology perspective, suggests that their
modality of pastoral care prevents narcissistic injuries to the
self while resisting grandiose selfobjects.
This research focuses on how to reengineer Cobol legacy systems
into object-oriented systems using Sward's Parameter Based Object
Identification (PBOI) methodology. The method is based on relating
categories of imperative subprograms to classes written in
object-oriented language based on how parameters are handled and
shared among them. The input language of PBOI is a canonical form
called the generic imperative model (GIM), which is an abstract
syntax tree (AST) representation of a simple imperative programming
language. The output is another AST, the generic object model
(GOM), a generic object oriented language. Conventional languages
must be translated into the GIM to use PBOI. The first step in this
research is to analyze and classify Cobol constructs. The second
step is to develop Refine programs to perform the translation of
Cobol programs into the GIM. The third step is to use the PBOI
prototype system to transform the imperative model in the GIM into
the GOM. The final step is to perform a validation of the objects
extracted, analyze the system functionally, and evaluate the PBOI
methodology in terms of the case study.
Ano 2008. Aterrizas en la Habana. Llegas al Hotel. Te habla un
hombre. Es viejo. Tiene niebla en los ojos. Y lagrimas. Y dice que
los dedos muertos del Che se movieron. Que cobraron vida para
decirle adios.
