Comedy-thriller starring Pierce Brosnan as a powerful evangelical pastor who will stop at nothing to cover up his murder of an atheist. Pastor Dan Day (Brosnan) shot Dr Paul Blaylock (Ed Harris) in the head during a debate surrounding a new book. Realising that his career would be in tatters if the truth emerged, Day and his supporters set out to make the accident look like a suicide and appear to have succeeded. However, a new convert to Day's church, former hippie Carl (Greg Kinnear), stumbles across the truth and is hunted in a very un-Christian manner by Day and his supporters as they attempt to silence him.
Kevin Pollak directs this feature documentary that looks at why some of the funniest people in the world are miserable. With contributions from comedians, actors, presenters and writers including Jimmy Fallon, Bob Saget, Matthew Perry, Stephen Merchant and Jim Gaffigan, the documentary examines why those with miserable lives tend to deliver the funniest comedy.
Black comedy in which an artist convinced of his own genius issues invitations to his greatest performance yet - his own death. K. Roth Binew (Mike O'Connell) leads an existence few would consider glamorous or divinely ordained, but that isn't the way Binew sees things. Binew is sure of two things: that he is an artistic genius and that he will die on this day. As a consequence, he enlists his long-suffering friend, Mills Joquin (Jesse Eisenberg), to drive him around town on a rickshaw. From his moving platform Binew announces to all and sundry the special performance he intends to give that night. Will he finally live up to his promises of greatness or be unmasked as delusional?
