Have you lost someone so dear that you felt they left a huge space
in your life? Have you been mad when someone you truly loved
betrayed you? Have you ever felt that a piece of your heart is
gone, because you miss someone so precious, and he or she is not in
your life anymore? Has a friend from the past shown up unexpectedly
and left you again with broken heart? Have you ever found it hard
to let go of people you really love, and hard to forgive those who
cause you pain? In this book you will read soulful essays that will
make you stop and think. Think about how life is too short to not
forgive those who hurt us, to spend time with our loved ones, and
to show love and caring before it's too late.
The wave of popular uprisings that swept across the Arab world
starting in December 2010 rattled regimes from Morocco to Oman.
However, Lebanon's sectarian system proved immune to the domestic
and regional pressures unleashed by the Arab Spring. How can this
be explained? How has the country's political elite dealt with
challenges to the system? And, finally, what lessons can other Arab
states draw from Lebanon's sectarian experience? This book looks at
the mix of institutional, clientelist, and discursive practices
that sustain the sectarian nature of Lebanon. It exposes snapshots
of an ever-expanding sectarian web that occupies substantial areas
of everyday life and surveys struggles waged by opponents of the
system - by women, teachers, public sector employees, students or
coalitions across NGOs - and how their efforts are often sabotaged
or contained by numerous systematic forces.
This book features high-quality, peer-reviewed research papers
presented at the International Conference on Smart Technologies in
Data Science and Communication (Smart-DSC 2019), held at Vignan's
Institute of Information Technology (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam,
Andhra Pradesh, India on 13-14 December 2019. It includes
innovative and novel contributions in the areas of data analytics,
communication and soft computing.

A parable where a young driven professional learns to "Achieve
without regret and sacrifice without envy." Arriving at a luxury
resort, Colin Burke, a young professional, husband and father, is
conflicted and unhappy. The three-day business retreat is billed as
a reward for him and his colleagues but he is distracted by a
basketball game, his son's season opener.... another game he'll
miss. The business event unfolds unremarkably until a celebrated
guest speaker and champion athlete awakens Colin's spirit. As the
athlete electrifies the room, Colin remembers his own dreams and
life goals and how they are not yet materializing. Desperate to
think, the young professional escapes to a nearby coffee shop where
along the way he helps an eccentric stranger avoid a serious
accident. This chance encounter leads to a new friendship where one
man pursues the future as the other works to repair the past. Over
time Colin learns how to achieve world-class success and the
ancient art of Placing Stones. Frustrations and angst slowly give
way to realizing his true potential. Finally he begins to ...
