Ungerb-ck zur Trelliscodierung (1976, 1982) konzentriert sich die Forschungst{tigkeit auf dem Gebiet der digitalen Nachrichten}bertragung auf die Trelliscodierung und MultilevelCodierung, w{hrend die algebraische Kanalcodierung wesentlich an Bedeutung verlor.
