This series offers corrections to online mistakes, allows researchers to browse through a spelling range, and provides separate indexes to Confederate Home, missing, rejected and miscellaneous pension applications. A "Primer on Texas Confederate Research" and a "Guide to Confederate Pension Payments and Applications" precede the indexes in each volume. Researchers will appreciate the detailed, step-by-step guidance offered in the "Primer on Texas Confederate Research," which contains an extensive bibliography of microfilmed records available to the researcher. Volume 1: A-D contains indexes to the following: Miscellaneous Material Relating to Confederate Pension Applications, 1903-1934; Confederate Home Applications; Missing Pension Applications; Rejected Pension Applications; and Confederate Pension Applications (A-D).
