Bret Easton Ellis' disturbing novel is brought to the screen by
Mary Harron. In 1987, twentysomething Wall Street broker Patrick
Bateman (Christian Bale) seems to have it all: he is handsome,
successful and engaged to the beautiful Evelyn (Reese Witherspoon).
However, Patrick is also engaged in an affair with Courtney
Rawlinson (Samantha Mathis) - his colleague's fiancée - and at
night indulges in a confused orgy of drugs, pornography,
prostitution and murder fantasies. When Patrick is outshone by a
rival at a board meeting, he takes out his frustration by knifing a
man sleeping rough in the street. This sparks off a descent into
violence and madness, with Patrick embarking on a bloody and random
killing spree.

Manic Street Preachers' 10th studio album Postcards From A Young
Man features guest vocals from Ian McCulloch on one track ("Some
Kind of Nothingness"), John Cale on piano ("Auto-Intoxication") and
Duff McKagen playing bass ("A Billion Balconies Facing The Sun").
Manics bassist Nicky Wire sings lead vocals on "The Future Has Been
Here 4 Ever" alongside drummer Sean Moore on the trumpet. Postcards
From A Young Man is the follow up to 2009s Journal for Plague
Lovers but is musically very different and more in the vein of Send
Away The Tigers and Everything Must Go with unashamed soaring
choruses, lots of strings and gospel choirs. It was recorded in
Cardiff with producer Dave Eringa and mixed by Chris Lord Alge in
the US.
Billy Name invented the term, 'Factory Foto.' He was the first and
he was the last Factory photographer. Period." - Gerard Malanga
This breathtaking tome is the definitive collection of Billy Name's
black and white photographs from Warhol s Factory. Billy's
photographs from this period (1964-68) are one of the most
important photographic documents of any single artist in history.
Billy lived in a tiny closet at the Factory. He was responsible for
the legendary 'silverizing' of the space. When Andy gave Billy a
Pentax Honeywell 35mm camera, he took on the role of resident
photographer and archivist. This visual essay, produced in
collaboration with Billy and with a foreword by John Cale, offers
an extensive trip through Warhol's Factory, including visits from
Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground, Nico, Edie Sedgwick and Bob
Dylan; filming Screen Tests and features like Chelsea Girls and
Vinyl. This volume is not-to-be-missed."
