This book was prepared for publication by an International Working
Group of experts under the auspices of COGEOENVIRONMENT - the
Commission of the International Union of Geological Sciences (lUGS)
on Geological Sciences for Environmental Planning and lUGS-GEM
(Commission on Geosciences for Environmental Management). The main
aim of the Working Group "Geology and Ecosystems" was to develop an
interdisciplinary approach to the study of the mechanisms and
special features within the "living tissue - inert nature" system
under different regional, geological, and anthropogenic conditions.
This activity requires international contributions from many
scientific fields. It requires efforts from scientists specializing
in fields such as: environmental impacts of extractive industries,
anthropogenic development and medical problems related to geology
and ecosystem interaction, the prediction of the geoenvironmental
evolution of ecosystems, etc. The Working Group determined the goal
and objectives of the book, developed the main content, discussed
the parts and chapters, and formed the team of authors and the
Editorial Board. The Meetings of the Working Group (Vilnius,
Lithuania, 2002 and Warsaw-Kielniki, Poland, 2003) were dedicated
to discussion and approval of the main content of all chapters in
the Book.
Classic DC horror stories return to print, in this second collection of
Swamp Thing comics written and drawn by legendary comics creator Rick
Veitch!
Rick Veitch originally joined DC’s seminal Swamp Thing series as an
artist during writer Alan Moore’s game-changing run, bringing to life
some of the most inventive horror and fantasy concepts ever seen in
mainstream comics.
Following Moore’s departure, Veitch took over as both writer and
artist, continuing the revered creative legacy of Swamp Thing, and
adding elements of time travel and metaphysics to one of the most
unique comics of its era.
This volume collects more of Veitch’s run, following the previously
released Swamp Thing by Rick Veitch Book One, including Swamp Thing
#74-79; Swamp Thing Annual #4; Hellblazer #6-12; Swamp Thing Annual #4;
and material from Who’s Who Update 1988 #3-4.
The first graphic novel in this ground-breaking series written by
the legendary Michael Moorcock and illustrated by one of the true
masters of the comic arts, Walt Simonson. Collecting the first six
issues of the Multiverse series, the story sees diverse heroes from
Moorcock’s sprawling Eternal Champion series united in a common
quest to stop the criminal mastermind Silverskin from destroying
the multiverse.
Written by Jamie Delano; Art by John Ridgway and Alfredo Alcala
John Constantine is an unconcerned, somewhat amoral occultist with
a British working-class background. He's a hero, of sorts, who
manages to come out on top through a combination of luck, trickery,
and genuine magical skill. The ORIGINAL SINS collection is a
loosely connected series of tales of John's early years where
Constantine was at his best and at his worst, all at the same time.
Collecting the final six issues of the Multiverse series. The story
sees diverse heroes from Moorcock’s sprawling Eternal Champion
series united in a common quest to stop the criminal mastermind
Silverskin from destroying the multiverse.

The very first Hellblazer collection is back in a new edition that
includes John Constantine’s early appearances in SWAMP THING
#76-77 along with HELLBLAZER #1-9. This is the first of a series of
new HELLBLAZER collections that put all his adventures in reading
order, capturing Constantine at his youthful, anarchic best.

Seven misfits and outcasts were brought together by fate. They are
presented with a problem the gods themselves can't solve. For the
gods are no longer in the world. They are Drake, the blind bard.
Conor, a one-armed sell sword. Glinda the weaver. Mael, knight of
the burning crystal. Wex, a Dalen monk. Luko and Aerwyn, clever
thieves. The actions of these seven will usher in a new age. The
Age of Heroes. "James Hudnall has been years ahead of his time for
the entire time he's been writing. There are a handful of people
today taking credit for things that James Hudnall did decades ago.
By buying this book you are supporting a true comic futurist."
Brian Michael Bendis (Powers, Scarlett, Ultimate Spiderman, Marvel
Comics)
