It's a human interest story about two mismatched fishing buddies
that lasted a lifetime, and then some. Although there are elements
of fiction, the story is based on actual experiences, a dedication
to the author's very best friend who sadly passed away. It's about
a true and lasting friendship of the men and their families, who
despite their differences and the periods where they lived far
apart from each other, managed to remain very close friends. The
story chronicles the escapades of the two men during their often
very, very funny, and at times scary fishing adventures. If you
like to fish, then you will really enjoy the tales. Be prepared to
laugh until you hurt, sigh from time to time, and maybe cry a
little bit. It's wholesome family reading, and you'll feel good
when you've read the book.
There comes a point where it's time to put together many
unpublished, per se, and unrelated literary epistles under one
cover, and so here it is. There's lots of stuff included, such as
poems and stories that have been entered in contests and received
the highest of accolades, but didn't win because the writer was new
and unknown. In fact, the 500-word essay, "Getting Old for
Dummies," received an "All Time Best" award (less than 5% of all
poems, stories, etc., posted on the site receive the award) from
FanStory.com, a Gold Dust Award for best worldwide literary site.
There's no telling how many great writers go unnoticed because the
writers don't have the money or the contacts to promote themselves.
I'm positive you "would be famous writers" know the feeling all too
well. The material will include some really polished stuff, and
quite a bit of original raw material such as crossword and word
tangle puzzles. There's no pretense here of appealing to the New
York Times Best Seller makers, Oprah Book Review people, and some
such. However, be that as it may, this is a great mumbo jumbo of
literary art, and a really fun read. Enjoy
