John Jarratt reprises his role as an Australian serial killer in this outback-set thriller sequel directed by Greg McLean. German backpacking couple Rutger (Philippe Klaus) and Katarina (Shannon Ashlyn) venture away from the main tourist hotspots to experience what they think is the 'real' Australia. Utopian commune drama loosely based on director Adam Sherman's own experiences. Victor (Mark L. When Victor's childhood sweetheart Becky (Hanna Hall) returns to the commune in order to care for her sick father, she becomes enamoured with the lifestyle and begins enjoying the hedonism instigated by the other members of the community. But will Victor be able to convince her of his own disillusionment and prevent her from spiralling out of control?

In a totalitarian world in the 22nd century, clone Sonmi-451 (Bae Doona) is due to be eliminated but decides to fight back and stand up for her own kind. Finally, in a post-apocalyptic Earth, tribe member Zachry (Hanks) helps Meronym (Berry), a woman from a technologically-advanced society, on her journey into the mountains in an attempt to find Cloud Atlas, a station that will allow her to communicate with the people who have left the planet to live in space. The cast, which also includes Susan Sarandon, Hugo Weaving and Hugh Grant, appear throughout a number of the various segments.
