This is the second in a Heptalogy of tantalizing novels dealing
with the plagues threatening a planet and its inhabitants in the
continuing saga to find timely solutions to prevent the harms
causing chaos to the global environment and how similar measures
could preserve nature and the human existence on our own Planet
Earth. In the process of research the more the co-authors delved
into these subjects, the more they became convinced of the
seriousness of the perils our planet faces due to the negative
impacts attributed to human-induced events. The voluminous
scientific data and research findings regarding the global warming
and other environmental threats continue to mount as renowned
experts warn of serious dangers our planet faces and lend credence
to the worst yet to come if corrective measures are not taken in
due time. And sadly enough their warnings of the dire consequences
to public health and the quality of life continue to be ignored by
those who can make a difference. Citizens around the world,
regardless of color, creed, nationality or religion can still play
a key role to try to reverse the course of further deterioration of
our precious planet by actively curtailing those activities that
harm the global environment and by actively voicing their concerns
to the elected leaders and business executives to change the course
of the status quo. We must not lose sight of the fact that the
possible ensuing catastrophes in all regions of the world make no
distinction between developed or undeveloped countries, between the
haves and haves not, between the sick or the healthy or between
religious and nonreligious beliefs. One only need to review the
recent history of major floods, droughts, mudslides and
catastrophic fires that took place in various regions of the planet
causing devastating infrastructure and property damage running into
the billions and the loss of many thousands of innocent lives. The
authors hope readers around the world will find this second novel
in a series of seven as tantalizing as they found it during the
long and arduous hours of their research and writing.

Rocco Carnesecca is the number two man at the Silver Halo Casino
and Hotel in Las Vegas. He oversees every facet of the rogue Casino
under the watchful eyes of the Maestro's people, chiefly the Fat
Man, attorney to the number one man. On the side, Rocco maintains a
small, discreet stable of hookers and a young stud, servicing the
high rollers and their neglected wives.
Back East in a well-to-do enclave of New Jersey, Harry
Demetrios, a successful stockbroker, wrestles with approaching
middle age and the final decision of his lovely daughter to quit
college, leave his house and get a job. His Mediterranean instincts
of fierce, protective love for his girl leave him distraught.
Rocco's young stud, Billy, returns from a trip and is noticeably
less effective with the women he services. They complain to Rocco
that Billy has 'not been kind." He's in love, with a girl he met
back East. But the pretty, Greek girl doesn't reciprocate Billy's
affection. Rocco orders his men to bring her in. Harry receives
word of his daughter's whereabouts, and he flies out to confront
Las Vegas.
Most parents feel insecure about appraising the symptoms, and
evaluating the degree of discomfort: all they can see is that their
child is in pain. My Tummy Hurts will provide parents and
care-givers with a guide devoted to the puzzling and often
frightening topic of stomachaches. It will equip them with the
ability to ask the right questions, to identify the problem(s), to
offer practical advice, and to draw a clearer road map: how to
manage common problems and how to recognize the important factors
that make the difference between benign forms of pain and those
requiring immediate or even urgent medical attention. My Tummy
Hurts will cover the issues and necessary guidelines that play a
central role in the health of growing children. It will allow the
care-giver to handle the problem with a clear head and factual
understanding of the possible triggers for discomfort, discovering
the culprits and acting effectively. Taking care of children is a
partnership between the caregiver and the healthcare provider. The
better the communication is between them, the better the care will
be. Therefore, Part I of My Tummy Hurts is developed to provide a
general foundation on how the digestive system works its components
and inter-relationships. Part II discusses the causes and function
of pain, while Part III gives parents a wealth of information to
help them decide if their child's pain is manageable or if it
requries a visit to the doctor. Part IV addresses serious digestive
problems that must be treated by a specialist, each chapter
outlining the current thinking on a wide variety of conditions,
their clinical symptoms, what is needed to confirm the diagnosis,
as well as the management options on hand.
