John Baxter directs this 1940s musical comedy starring Bud Flanagan and Chesney Allen. When James Bradshaw (Joss Ambler)'s business partner, a well-intentioned philanthropist, passes away, the unscrupulous Bradshaw spots an opportunity to make a quick buck. He duly creates a fake will for his deceased partner which sees him inherit the majority of the dead man's estate, including a newspaper business. However, one of the newspaper's employees, Corona Flanagan (Flanagan), has a keen eye and sets out to unmask Bradshaw's duplicity. Will he succeed?

He plays the Director General of the National Broadcasting Group (NBG) who hides away in his office unaware that the general feeling about his programming is that it is too high-brow and the public are not happy. However, when he discovers this he decides to take action and promotes Jimmy, his Head of the Complaints Department, to Programme Director. Jimmy decides that a series of variety spectaculars are what the public want and sets about hiring the acts. But obstacles are put in his way and he discovers that the NBG has its own cluster of wannabe variety stars. In 'The Ghost of St Michaels' (1941), the outbreak of the Second World War results in the boys' school of St Michaels relocating to Dubain Castle on the Isle of Skye. The new schoolmaster (Hay) scoffs at the legends of a ghostly piper which haunts the castle - until two headmasters come to a grisly end. Who will become the next victim of the phantom piper? In 'The Black Sheep of Whitehall' (1942), Hay plays Professor Davis, the intrepid head of a correspondence college. Davis gets wind of the fact that a Nazi spy has infiltrated an economic delegation with the intent of undermining attempts to reach a trade agreement between Great Britain and certain South American countries. The effort to expose the dastardly fellow sees Hay adopt various disguises in a steady onslaught of mistaken-identity comedy.

B-movie ghost story starring Hazel Court and Dermot Walsh as a young couple who decide to buy a luxury steamboat for a romantic getaway. They think that they've found the perfect boat, and scoff at warnings that it's haunted. However, despite their initial incredulity they are gradually convinced that there is something strange going on in their new love-nest, and they decide to bring in a paranormal expert, Professor Mansel Martineau (John Robinson) to investigate. A horrifying secret about the boat's previous owners is eventually revealed...

Wartime drama co-written and directed by Vernon Sewell and Gordon Wellesley. During the Nazi's early occupation of Holland, they seize the country's largest shipyard hoping to turn it into a production line for their U-boats. The shipyard's owner, Jaap Van Leyden (Ralph Richardson), is ordered by German enforcer Von Schiffer (Esmond Knight) to collaborate and help with U-boat production. But unbeknown to the Gestapo, Van Leyden is in fact a hero of the local resistance, and sets in motion a covert plan to strike back against the Nazi's production line. Googie Withers co-stars as Jaap's wife Helène.
