What is the Key to World Evangelism? All heaven will break loose when God's glory is on display among His people--to the degree that unbelievers will say, "Wow! This is something else . . . and we want it!" So what releases God's glory in this dimension? When we understand--and live out--the unity Jesus prayed for in John 17:21-22. In Joy Dawson's engaging, conversational, forthright style, she has given us a biblical and thought-provoking case for both the need and the how-to, to live in the unity Jesus prayed for. "Joy's biblical and practical examples of the working of the Holy Spirit are inspiring and truly offer hope to anyone who believes in the power of God to unify the Body of Christ. The tone of humility with which Joy penned this work is a wonderful example to us all."--Mrs. Vonette Bright, co-founder, Campus Crusade for Christ (now Cru in the U.S.) "Joy Dawson (Mom to me) has given us possibly her most important book because it gets to the heart of what ails us as Christians, and presents the solution. I am delighted and encouraged."--John Dawson, international president emeritus, Youth With A Mission "Joy Dawson is a gifted master-teacher and prophetic voice. In a very real and dynamic sense, this book has been given to her as a 'word from heaven' and should shake us up to act upon it. It has shaken me anew."--Jack Hayford, chancellor, The King's University; founding pastor, The Church On The Way
Do you want to . . . - know what the most important aspect of God's character is and how it is meant to affect every aspect of your life? - know the source of wisdom and how you can obtain it for every situation? - know how to relate in every human relationship with naturalness and godliness? - outsmart every temptation of the enemy? - overcome the fear of man, and fear only God? This life-changing book gives biblical answers to the above, and much more, as Joy Dawson combines them with fascinating everyday life experiences. In the ultimate adventure of intensely pursuing intimate friendship with the only One who can totally fulfill us, Dawson makes it clear that the price is high. But the privileges and rewards are infinitely higher. "Here is a way toward thinking straight about God that will result in living, loving and learning live at its fullest and best."--from the foreword by Jack W. Hayford, president, International Foursquare Churches; founding pastor, The Church on the Way Joy Dawson's Bible teaching ministry and missionary journeys with Youth With A Mission have taken her to 55 nations. She has also taught extensively on television and radio, and is the author of several books. Her penetrating teachings are based on the character and ways of God. Joy and her husband, Jim, and much of their family are in full-time ministry.
Emphasizing God's commitment to be personally involved in our lives, Dawson shares the lessons of a lifetime of faithful obedience to God. Through stories and biblical teaching, she helps readers discover the excitement of learning how to listen to God, joyfully obey Him, and experience the wonder of the results that follow.
Young Frank and Rudy must do most of the tasks on their Missouri farm. Because of a family loss, they are saddened, but they bravely move on. Life is not all work for them, though, for they have wonderful times fishing for "the big one" and swimming in their muddy pond. Then one day their father shocks them with the happy announcement "You are going to attend the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair." During their time at the fair, the sons meet a brother they have never seen, discover a glorious new era of invention, and have their first taste of a beverage called "iced tea." The journey is magic for them both, but even moreso for Frank when he meets a girl named Grace.
