A GRIPPING CRIME THRILLER FULL OF STUNNING TWISTS Orla Cracken, IT
whizz has disappeared. Detectives Rowan Jackman and Marie Evans
soon suspect foul play. Cracken, known as Orac, is no ordinary
techie; she was once a field agent traveling abroad undercover,
working for the government. Meanwhile two urban explorers have
mysteriously disappeared while out exploring abandoned buildings.
One went missing at a disused airfield, but was it a military base,
or was it civilian? The gruesome discovery of their decaying bodies
in ancient church ruins bursts the case wide open, and Jackman and
Evans are under pressure to find the killer. It soon becomes clear
that the murderer is targeting urban explorers, but why is he
determined to track down and torture these people, and how is the
case connected to Orac's mysterious past?
A GRIPPING CRIME THRILLER FULL OF SUSPENSE Detective Nikki Galena's
friend and neighbour meets a tragic end but there's more to his
death than meets the eye. And someone from DS Joseph Easter's past
is back . . . A man is found executed on a piece of wasteland in
Greenborough town. The cold-blooded murder triggers terrible
memories for DS Joseph Easter. Just when things seemed to be going
well for DS Easter, he realises that the nightmare is coming back,
threatening his career, his sanity, and maybe his life. Even Nikki
begins to doubt DS Easter as he faces a race against time to save
someone very close to him.
Serial killer Alistair Ashcroft is back and more terrifying than
ever. He sends a sinister warning to DS Marie Evans and breaks into
DI Rowan Jackman's uneasy domestic bliss. Now everyone Jackman
cares about is in danger. Yet for all Ashcroft's taunts, he is
nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, a seemingly routine break-in at the
home of gun-club owner Kenneth Harcourt becomes complicated when
the man long held responsible for killing Harcourt's young daughter
is shot dead in a car park - by a sniper. A killer is on the loose
in the quiet streets of Saltern-le-Fen, and he isn't going to stop.
And the sniper, like Ashcroft, takes to taunting the police:
they'll never catch him, they need to respect him, they shouldn't
be sidetracked looking for their old adversary. Jackman and Evans
find themselves in a lethal game of cat-and-mouse, but are they the
cats or the mice?
When a crime wave hits town, Detectives Jackman and Evans must take
on a fiendish criminal, while still haunted by Alistair Ashcroft,
the serial killer they never caught. The target is a highly
sought-after brand of streetwear called Hybrid X, clothing that
costs a fortune and resells for unbelievable prices. Houses are
burgled, kids mugged on the streets, a young man dies - all for the
sake of his shoes - and another boy's body is found in a pile of
rubbish. Meanwhile illegal steroids are flooding the streets and
there are dark movements on the marshes. A shadowy figure called
Drake and his team of young criminals seem to be behind it all, but
can DI Jackman and Marie prove this before another innocent person
dies for clothes that people will kill to own?
Detective Inspector Nikki Galena has nothing left to lose. She's
seen a girl die in her arms and her daughter will never leave the
hospital again - she will stop at nothing to avenge her daughter.
Through her pain she's toughened up, particularly on criminals, and
now she's been given one final warning: make it work with her new
sergeant, DS Joseph Easter, or she's out. While DI Nikki Galena
battles her own demons, the town is being terrorised by gangs of
violent thugs, all wearing identical hideous masks. When a talented
young female student goes missing on the marsh, Nikki and Joseph
find themselves joining forces with a master criminal in their
efforts to save her. They need to look behind the masks, but when
they do, they find something more sinister and deadly than they
ever expected . . .
Detective Inspector Rowan Jackman faces the most difficult case of
his life. His sister-in-law, Sarah, disappears to London and throws
herself into the river. As a woman with a seemingly happy home life
and two beloved sons, what drove her to this? As DI Jackman and DI
Evans dig into to Sarah's life, Jackman realises he knew almost
nothing about his sister-in-law's past. Then, they discover a woman
in a neighbouring village died in similar circumstances. What is
the connection to a convicted murderer whose family are convinced
he's innocent? Who is really pulling the strings? And in a case so
close to home can Jackman keep his feelings under control?
Anything but love is a compilation of poems, each of which tell a
story and capture the overall emotions of heartbreak and falling
out of love.
