You need reliable initial processing data before setting up an injection molding machine to optimize and stabilize the process if you want to guarantee excellent results. A good set up can save you time and money. This powerful tool will provide you with the most important processing data, such as viscosity, thermal properties, mold temperatures, and suggested heater temperatures for the most commonly used materials in injection molding. Pocket-sized and condensed - yet clear and comprehensive! The PLASTICS POCKET POWER Series was developed with the plastics processor in mind. Its small, 3""X5"" size makes it a convenient resource tool for people to carry with them. These books are practical reference tools that contain all of the pertinent data plastics processors need to overcome the day-to-day challenges they encounter. The unique spiral binding of these books lets the user easily flip through the pages, mark their most-often used pages by keeping them flipped open, and allows the book to lay flat.
Coffee harvesting is done by pickers who selectively detach and collect ripe fruits, one by one, making the labor responsible for almost 40% of the production costs. Since Colombian coffee growers are currently suffering a monotonic growing lack of pickers and economical problems derived of the Colombian peso revaluation, efforts to make this economic activity more competitive are welcome. This research work was focused in improving the coffee growers' income by reducing harvesting costs via mechanization. This book presents the structured design methodology followed to develop a mechanical coffee harvesting system accommodating the treacherous terrain of the coffee plantations in Colombia and the technical and environmental aspects considered to meet that goal. The methodology followed the Design for Economic Manufacture Philosophy and utilized tools such as Morphological Charts, for concepts generation, and the Controlled Convergence Technique to select the appropriate technology to be designed and built. The resulting harvesting system was named ERGATIS for the ancient Greek word given to the individuals who harvested agricultural products.
