merecen atencin. In 'New American Letters," we find the attitudes
of the Iberian peninsular world in the face of the Latin American
independence movements, and the historical proclamations of the New
World, specifically pertaining to Cuba. The book relays a vision
very distinct on the surface from the official history of the
Americas, with a spare interpretation of the ethnic origins of the
Latin American culture, though there are also economic and
political assertions that deserve attention.
