Julie Delpy writes, directs and stars in this romantic comedy, a sequel to her 2007 film '2 Days in Paris'. A few years have passed since the events of the last film and Marion (Delpy) has split with Jack. However, they share custody of their toddler son and Marion is now living in New York City with Mingus (Chris Rock), a radio show host with a young daughter of his own. The couple's domestic bliss is disrupted by the arrival of Marion's eccentric father, Jeannot (Albert Delpy), and tough cookie sister Rose (Alexia Landeau), along with an unexpected addition to the party, Rose's sometime-boyfriend (and Marion's ex), Manu (Alexandre Nahon), who have all come to town for Marion's debut photography exhibition opening, where she is planning to sell her soul to the highest bidder as a conceptual art piece.

Indie filmmaker Richard Linklater directs this duo of films about two meetings between an American man (Ethan Hawke) and a Parisian woman, Celine (Julie Delpy), which take place nine years apart. He strikes up a conversation on a train with a young Parisian woman (Julie Delpy), and on the spur of the moment invites her to spend the day with him in Vienna. As the day wears on, a casual acquaintance turns into something more profound. Linklater pays homage to French auteur Eric Rohmer as he lets his characters talk their way into, around and out of each others' affections. In the sequel, 'Before Sunset' (2004), Jesse and Celine about to cross paths again - in Paris - where they will get the chance to catch up on all that has occurred in their lives since their first meeting. Jesse, now married with a young child, has become a successful novelist. He is on a whirlwind European tour when he stops off at a bookshop in Paris, and Celine, who now works for an environmental organisation, comes to the reading. In the eighty minutes before his plane leaves - portrayed in the film in real time - the two stroll around the streets of Paris and discuss their views, experiences, hopes and dreams.

In the third and final part, 'Three Colours: Red', fashion model Valentine (Irene Jacob) accidentally runs over a dog. She takes him to a vet, gets him patched up, then tries to return him to his owner. It turns out that the owner is Joseph Kern (Jean-Louis Trintignant), a retired judge who lives alone and listens in on his neighbours' telephone conversations. Valentine and Joseph slowly become friends; meanwhile, one of Joseph's neighbours cheats on her boyfriend, a young law student who will have an important effect on Valentine's life.
