This monograph provides a detailed and systematic introduction to the application of deep learning technology in the intelligent monitoring of crop diseases and pests. Taking 24 types of crop pests, wheat aphids, and wheat diseases with complex backgrounds as examples, a large-scale crop pest and disease dataset was constructed to provide necessary data support for the deep learning module. Various schemes for identifying and detecting large-scale crop diseases and pests based on deep convolutional neural network technology have also been proposed. This book can be used as a reference for teachers and students majoring in agriculture, computer science, artificial intelligence, intelligent science and technology, and other related fields in higher education institutions. It can also be used as a reference book for researchers in fields such as image processing technology, intelligent manufacturing, and high-tech applications.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th China Conference on Knowledge Graph and Semantic Computing: Knowledge Graph Empowers the Digital Economy, CCKS 2022, in Qinhuangdao, China, August 24-27, 2022. The 15 full papers and 2 short papers included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 100 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as follows: knowledge representation and reasoning; knowledge acquisition and knowledge base construction; linked data, knowledge integration, and knowledge graph storage managements; natural language understanding and semantic computing; knowledge graph applications; and knowledge graph open resources.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 5th China Conference on Knowledge Graph and Semantic Computing, CCKS 2020, held in Nanchang, China, in November 2020. The 26 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 173 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on knowledge extraction: lexical and entity; knowledge extraction: relation; knowledge extraction: event; knowledge applications: question answering, dialogue, decision support, and recommendation.
This collection of essays addresses the perception that our
understanding of modern China will be enhanced by opening the
literature of China to more rigorous theoretical and comparative
study. In doing so, the book confronts the problematic and complex
subject of China's literary, theoretical, and cultural responses to
the experience of the modern. "Contributors." Liu Kang, Xiaobing Tang, Liu Zaifu, Stephen
Chan, Lydia H. Liu, Wendy Larson, Theodore Huters, David Wang,

Pasteurization, penicillin, Koch's postulates, and gene coding. These discoveries and inventions are vital yet commonplace in modern life, but were radical when first introduced to the public and academia. In this book, the life and times of leading pioneers in microbiology are discussed in vivid detail, focusing on the background of each discovery and the process in which they were developed - sometimes by accident or sheer providence.

Although Chinese Marxism--primarily represented by Maoism--is
generally seen by Western intellectuals as monolithic, Liu Kang
argues that its practices and projects are as diverse as those in
Western Marxism, particularly in the area of aesthetics. In this
comparative study of European and Chinese Marxist traditions, Liu
reveals the extent to which Chinese Marxists incorporate ideas
about aesthetics and culture in their theories and practices. In
doing so, he constructs a wholly new understanding of Chinese
Marxism.
