Artist Nathwell Tate was born in 1928 in Union Beach, New Jersey.
On January 8 1960 he contrived to round up and burn almost his
entire output of Abstract Expressionism. Four days later he killed
himself. This book offers an account of Tate's life and work which
can be seen either as straight art biography or as fiction. It is
an investigation of the blurry line between the invented and the
authentic, the wholly false and the utterly real.
In her quest to live a vibrant spiritual life, Karen Wright Marsh
had a revelation: she didn't need to find and follow the perfect
plan; she needed people she could follow. In Wake Up to Wonder,
Marsh introduces you to those people--faithful yet oh-so-human
Christians from across centuries and cultures. Inspired by their
example, she offers playful, simple practices that bring deeper
meaning and purpose to everyday life. In the company of diverse
spiritual companions, you'll journey through physical health,
prayer, activism, Scripture reading, creativity, and beyond. Each
chapter includes hands-on invitations such as writing prompts,
space for personal reflection, and "Try This," a collage of
spiritual and personal experiments anyone can do. As you wake up to
wonder, you'll discover what these twenty-two historical figures
already knew: that a life of spiritual depth, amazement, and
connection is within reach--today and every day. Historical Figures

Being a leader requires much more than just understanding how to
run a business. Today's executive is under a unique set of demands,
coming from multiple stakeholders. In The Complete Executive,
long-time executive coach Karen Wright introduces a unique 10-step
system that takes all of these aspects of leadership development
into account. Leaders not only need incredible physical energy and
stamina, they need a support system, philosophy, plan, business
acumen, a social network, and a brand and reputation that will
ensure they achieve their vision. Backed by an assessment tool,
giving each leader a personal "report card," this book provides
aspiring leaders with a framework to address all aspects of
leadership that translates to peak performance. Wright knows from
experience that even when everything is going well for leaders,
high achievers don't stop there, which is why The Complete
Executive is designed as a resource to return to again and again
for continuous improvement.

The Road to Dr Pepper, Texas is the story of Dublin Dr Pepper
Bottling Co., a David-Goliath case study of the world's first Dr
Pepper bottling plant and the only one that has always used pure
cane sugar in spite of compelling reasons to switch sweeteners. The
book traces the story from the founder's birth through the
contemporary struggles of a tiny independent, family-owned
franchise against industry giants. Owners of the plant have been
touched by every major social, economic, and political issue of the
past 114 years, and many of those forces threatened the survival of
the plant. The Dublin plant's 100th birthday in 1991 was a turning
point because the national media created an identity so unique that
it has taken on a life of its own. Thanks to the Travel Channel,
Food Network, Texas Monthly, Southern Living, and others, the
Dublin plant and museum attract tens of thousands of tourists every
year, and Dublin Dr Pepper is consumed around the world through
Internet sales. ""The Road to Dr Pepper, Texas"" tells how a small
plant ignored most of the cherished rules of production and
marketing - and succeeded - in spite of not speeding up production,
not expanding its franchise area, not cutting production costs, and
not adapting to changing times.
