Vorwort Das vorliegende Lehrbuch wendet sich an Studierende der Betriebswirtschaftslehre an Fachhochschulen und an Universitaten. Es ist so konzipiert, dass es sowohl ein abge schlossenes wirtschafts theoretisches und wirtschaftspolitisches Grundwissen vermittelt als auch als Basis fur ein weiterfuhrendes wirtschaftswissenschaftliches Studium dienen kann. Im Mittelpunkt steht das Verstandnis grundlegender okonomischer Zusammenhange sowie des Wirtschaftsgeschehens in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Dazu wird auf eine stark formale Darstellung verzichtet und oft Graphiken der Vorzug gegeben. Der Lehr stoff, der auch neue re theoretische Entwicklungen berucksichtigt, wird in einem mittle ren Schwierigkeitsgrad und auf einem mittleren Abstraktionsniveau vermittelt. Die zur Darstellung quantitativer Zusammenhange in der Bundesrepublik verwandten Tabellen und Graphiken wurden so ausgewahlt, dass sie von den Lehrenden und Studierenden aus allgemein zuganglichen Quellen leicht fortgeschrieben und aktualisiert werden konnen. Der Sammelband besteht aus sieben Kapiteln, die jeweils auch fur sich gelesen und bearbeitet werden konnen: - der "Einfuhrung," die eine Ubersicht wirtschaftlicher Grundfragen und -begriffe gibt; - der "Mikrookonomie," die das theoretische Rustzeug fur die Analyse einzelwi- schaftlichen Verhaltens bietet; - dem "Volkwirtschaftlichen Rechnungswesen," das auch die Analyse einiger quanti tativer Zusammenhange fur die Bundesrepublik Deutschland einschliesst; - dem Kapitel "Einkommen und Beschaftigung," das auch die neue re Theoriedebatte aufgreift; - dem Beitrag "Konjunktur und Wachstum," der den institutionellen Regelungen in der Bundesrepublik Rechnung tragt; - dem Artikel "Geld und Wahrung," der theoretische und wirtschaftspolitische Frage stellungen miteinander verknupft, und - dem Beitrag "Umweltpolitik," der den grossen Stellenwert, den wir dieser Thematik, insbesondere fur unsere Zukunft, beimessen, deutlich macht."
