When Daniel's village is captured by enemy warriors, he suddenly finds himself as part of a secret plan to escape captivity and seek help from friendly villages across the frozen plain. The small group manages to escape the village, but find themselves fighting blizzards, wolves, starvation, fierce rivers, and enemy warriors.
