College is a fun and exciting time where every day is a new adventure, especially if you are away from home in another city or town. This will most likely be some of the best years of your life, but it's also a time that can present many spiritual challenges and life-defining decisions. Have you considered how you will handle serious challenges to your faith from other students, or from your professor? Can you answer difficult questions about your faith? Can you stand your ground with rational, thoughtful and logical reasons for what you believe? If not, you should prepare yourself now. This book can give you the tools you need to do more than explain what you believe - but why you believe it
The purpose of this book is to answer the biggest challenges to Christianity from skeptics, scoffers, and general antagonist who argue that Christianity is intolerant, not the only path to God, is dangerous to society and based on blind faith and a flawed Bible. These charges have no doubt damaged the church and left many Christians feeling weak and defeated. Even worse, belief in these flawed arguments is keeping good people from a relationship with Jesus. If you are a skeptic, please read with an open mind what is presented here about misconceptions and accusations against Christianity. Please understand that you are not hated by Christians or by God. If you are a Christian, I pray that you would use this book to help others understand the truth about God, Jesus and the Bible.
Christian apologetics is more important than ever. We must be able to defend our faith because Christianity is a Faith Worth Defending If you are confident about what you believe, prepared to talk to skeptics about Jesus, and able to answer difficult questions about your faith - then you are considerably ahead of most Christians If you are not ready to defend the faith, don't worry. A twelve week study of apologetics will prepare you to engage skeptics with more confidence and less pressure. This 12 week workbook can be used to lead a small group or class in a discussion of Christian apologetics and strategies for defending the faith.
Christian apologetics is a dynamic field of theology that serves to offer a rational defense for the Christian faith. The study of Apologetics allows Christians to defend the faith against objections, and expose the flaws of other worldviews. In 1 Thessalonians, Paul writes that we should "test all things" and "hold fast that which is good." As Christians, we can test all things against the scriptures using science, archeology, philosophy and reason. In this book, my goal is to simplify the mounds of data that clearly demonstrate God's existence, the deity of Christ, and the authenticity of the Bible so that any Christian can give a defense with boldness, reason and clarity. As a teacher, it's my hope that you learn something useful from this book that can be integrated into your personal ministry. There is no better accomplishment for the Christian than to help someone find the truth and see the light of Christ. The bible says there will be, "Joy in heaven over one sinner who repents." I hope that you use this book as a manual to help others become the object of heavenly joy as you continue down God's path growing in knowledge, wisdom, and faith in Christ.
