mind? Preventing injuries - preventing catastrophic losses -
protecting the organization from regulatory problems - and showing
value to the organization. This book prepares the safety management
practitioner for training in a diverse workforce while creating a
program that meets the specific needs of a client or corporation.
It evaluates the barriers that a trainer may encounter and offers
techniques to overcome them. This book will assist the trainer to
create a training program which is geared towards adult learning.
Showing that training is hitting the mark through behavioral change
supports the overall organization's goals.

Four generations of Steeles dragged carnival rides, machinery, and
unusual employees across the Midwest throughout the 1940's to the
1970's. They had created the archetypical traveling carnival with a
combination of guts, fear, and entrepreneurial spirit. Their
carnival started with a pony ride and developed into a corporation
moving scores of trucks and employees to county fairs throughout
the upper Midwest. The Steele family raised kids on the midway and
produced lawyers, engineers, and most of all honest and interesting
people. Fun people. This is their carnival story.
This book offers a humorous look at the interactions between a
professional scientist and his Pennsylvania Dutch farming neighbor
as they get involved in various projects around the farm and on
hunting and fishing trips where one is an accomplished fly fisher
and hunter and the other is not terribly adept at either sport. The
stories are full of down-home charm that includes a peek at farm
living. The stories should appeal to any audience.
