Dark of the Night 2: An anthology of Shadows "Technically speaking,
horror is anything that elicits negative emotions, usually by
striking at the primal fear of mankind. The possibilities are
endless, and the masters of such work has spanned centuries,
inspiring countless writers to create their own fiction, films and
video games. To say that one is a horror fan can mean any number of
things, but it is my hope that this collection offers my readers as
diverse a selection that will satisfy the widest possible audience.
I myself have been captivated by the manuscripts, and cannot
possibly pick a favorite among them. Some are returning authors to
the anthologies Dark Moon Press prints, others are new to the
company and attempting to show a chapter as a sample from books
newly released in hopes you will desire to get the full story.
Regardless, enjoy Dark of the Night, Anthology of Shadows book Two.
The dark spirits are restless and await you...., I am certain you
will have a hard time putting this tome down, as did I." From the
Introduction by Corvis Nocturnum
Enter the dark and grim dwelling if you dare... A story about
places people go against their will...Join Kevin Eads as he takes
you deep inside madness with a tale of an old asylum, a hospital in
its last night before the move to a newer one and all hell breaks
loose, a prison where a serial killer is haunted by ghosts of those
he killed...a reform school where a girl falls in love with her
teacher and eats him...a boarding school where Satan's son
attends...and a nursing home where a succubus is preying on the
souls of the old folks.
"I recently discovered the diary of forgotten explorer Emile Marcel
Etienne Peau while visiting a church library in Le Havre, France. I
had been researching for a book I was writing on Normandie in the
High Middle Ages when I came across this fascinating journal and
was captivated. I wondered why this great historical figure was
never heard of in modern times and if his discoveries should be put
into modern history books. I talked to the local men and women of
the area, but very few had heard of him. I only found one local
person who heard of him, a very old fisherman. He claimed to be a
descendant of Mr. Peau and said that his story is one that is a
forgotten part of history. Still, he told me that at one time, this
man was celebrated in the area, but for only a short time, as
Christopher Columbus soon began his journeys, which overshadowed
Mr. Peau. I hope through the publishing of this journal that this
amazing man will soon be remembered as an important part of
history."
