Animated family comedy about a ghoulish five-star resort for the
world's most famous monsters. Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler) is
the proprietor of Hotel Transylvania, a luxury hotel for monsters
who need to relax and recover from their relentless persecution by
human beings. To celebrate the 118th birthday of his daughter,
Mavis (Selena Gomez), Dracula invites a roster of A-list monsters,
including Frankenstein (Kevin James) and Murray the Mummy (Cee-Lo),
to the hotel. But when 21-year-old human, Jonathan (Andy Samberg),
turns up unexpectedly, Dracula must do all he can to prevent Mavis
from falling in love with him.
The Light of Truth has been written entirely whilst in close
prayer, and every word has been given by The Holy Spirt. It is a
book of proverbs, psalms, and teachings. It is a book about life
and eternal life. It is a book of truth. Each one of us has to come
to the point when we wonder what life is all about. How is it we
are alive, how the world was made, and most importantly - why? When
i searched openly for the truth - i found God. He is a Spirit full
of love and compassion! I asked him everything I could, showed him
evey doubt that science and modern society has raised in me. He
answered all my questions and sometimes I was told to write the
answers down. This book is the result.
Adam Sandler and Kevin James star as best friends and fellow fire-fighters Chuck and Larry, the pride of their Brooklyn fire station. Chuck owes Larry for saving his life. Larry calls in that favour big-time by asking Chuck to pose as his "domestic partner" so his kids will get his pension.
But when a pen-pushing bureaucrat becomes suspicious, the two straight tough-guys must stumble through an outrageous charade as love-struck newlyweds!
The county of Tripoli in what is now North Lebanon is arguably the
most neglected of the so-called 'crusader states' established in
the Middle East at the beginning of the twelfth century. The
present work is the first monograph on the county to be published
in English, and the first in any western language since 1945. What
little has been written on the subject previously has focused upon
the European ancestry of the counts of Tripoli: a specifically
Southern French heritage inherited from the famous crusader Raymond
IV of Saint-Gilles. Kevin Lewis argues that past historians have at
once exaggerated the political importance of the counts' French
descent and ignored the more compelling signs of its cultural
impact, highlighting poetry composed by troubadours in Occitan at
Tripoli's court. For Lewis, however, even this belies a deeper
understanding of the processes that shaped the county. What emerges
is an intriguing portrait of the county in which its rulers
struggled to exert their power over Lebanon in the face of this
region's insurmountable geographical forces and its sometimes
bewildering, always beguiling diversity of religions, languages and
cultures. The counts of Tripoli and contemporary Muslim onlookers
certainly viewed the dynasty as sons of Saint-Gilles, but the
county's administration relied upon Arabic, its stability upon the
mixed loyalties of its local inhabitants, and its very existence
upon the rugged mountains that cradled it. This book challenges
prevailing knowledge of this little-known crusader state and by
extension the medieval Middle East as a whole. .

The Orthodox Church understands the Holy Scriptures to be the
fountainhead of Tradition. The stories read in the Bible are
commonly explored and elaborated in greater depth in liturgical
hymns, homilies, and patristic writings. Such is the case with the
account found in St Luke’s gospel of a sinful woman who anoints
Christ with precious oil shortly before his Passion and
Crucifixion. The woman’s story is taken up in the liturgical
tradition of the Orthodox Church in Holy Week, where she is held up
as an example of repentance and unconstrained love. In this
in-depth but readable study the biblical accounts are elaborated
through both the liturgical and oratorical tradition of the Church,
as found primarily in Greek and Syriac manuscripts, with particular
attention given to the former texts, too often overshadowed by the
latter. Previously inaccessible texts of late antiquity, such as
homilies by Amphilochius of Iconium and Ephrem Graecus, are found
here in English for the first time, together with fresh English
renderings of other sermons. This sharply honed and
well-constructed work will engage all who encounter the story of
the sinful woman in the living tradition of worship in the Orthodox
Church, as well as those who are introduced to her through
Scripture, liturgical poetry, or scholarly consideration. The
present work unveils the intricate nature of the tradition of the
Church, which gives greater scope and application to the biblical
record through its hymnography and oratory.
The complete second series of the popular American sitcom. Stand-up
comedian Ray Romano stars as Ray Barone, a successful sportswriter
and devoted husband to Debra (Patricia Heaton), who must deal with
his brother, Robert (Brad Garrett), and his parents, Frank and
Marie (Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts), who happen to live across
the street. His parents love to meddle in his life, while Robert
sometimes resents Ray's success. Nevertheless, Ray manages to keep
a bright outlook and a sense of humour as he balances his family
and work life. Episodes comprise: 'Ray's On TV', 'Father Knows
Least', 'Brother', 'Mozart', 'Golf', 'Anniversary', 'Working Late
Again', 'The Children's Book', 'The Gift', 'High School', 'The
Letter', 'All I Want for Christmas', 'Civil War', 'Mia Famiglia',
'Marie's Meatballs', 'The Checkbook', 'The Ride-Along', 'The Family
Bed', 'Good Girls', 'T-Ball', 'Traffic School', 'Six Feet Under',
'The Garage Sale', 'The Wedding: Part 1' and 'The Wedding: Part 2'.
The entire second season of the US sitcom about a beleaguered
courier driver and his family. Doug Heffernan (Kevin James) and his
wife Carrie (Leah Remini) are a young Queens couple who should be
sitting pretty. Doug is a courier driver with a cheeky, playful
nature who, given a choice, almost always chooses what's most
likely to rile his wife's fiery temper. Carrie is a legal assistant
- vivacious, wise, and, on the face of it, wa-a-ay too good for
Doug - a fact that informs much of the comedy here. Episodes are:
'Queasy Rider', 'Female Problems', 'Assaulted Nuts', 'Parent
Trapped', 'Tube Stakes', 'Doug Out', 'Get Away', 'Dire Strayts',
'I, Candy', 'Roamin' Holiday', 'Sparing Carrie', 'Net Prophets',
'Party Favor', 'Block Buster', 'Frozen Pop', 'Fair Game', 'Meet
By-Product', 'The Shmenkmans', 'Surprise Artie', 'Wild Cards', 'Big
Dougie', 'Soft Touch', 'Restaurant Row', 'Flower Power' and 'Whine
Country'.
Buddy movie taken to extremes. New York firefighters Chuck Levine
(Adam Sandler) and Larry Valentine (Kevin James) live different
lives. Whilst Chuck is a self-confessed lothario out for a good
time, Larry is a widower struggling to keep a regular home life for
the sake of his two young children. With Larry refusing to take up
life as a single parent and deal with his loss, he forgets to
change the primary beneficiary of his pension from his wife to his
children before the cut-off date, which would financially protect
them in the event of a work injury. The only solution is to get
married again, but Larry decides there's no other woman he could
trust enough with his children's future. During a routine search of
a burning house, Larry saves Chuck's life in an accident and Chuck
is forever indebted to his best mate as they awake in hospital.
Evaluating his predicament whilst in his sick bed, Larry finds an
article about a same-sex domestic partnership and realises Chuck
could pay his debt quicker than anticipated! After wearing Chuck
down, they eventually get hitched in a bizarre Las Vegas wedding
chapel and just when they settle in to a scene of same-sex domestic
bliss for the sake of the kids, they soon realise that their gay
union is going to be under serious scrutiny from surprise inspector
Clinton Fitzer (Steve Buscemi), who is always ready to catch out
straight guys cheating the system.
All nine series of the popular US sitcom about a beleaguered
courier driver and his family. Doug and Carrie Heffernan are a
young Queens couple who should be sitting pretty. Doug (Kevin
James) is a courier driver with a cheeky, playful nature who, given
a choice, almost always chooses what's most likely to rile his
wife's fiery temper. Carrie (Leah Remini) is a legal assistant,
vivacious, wise, and, on the face of it, way too good for Doug - a
fact that informs much of the comedy here. In the first flush of
their married life together, however, Carrie's parents' house burns
down. Her mum dies, and dad Arthur needs a place to stay. Arthur
(Jerry Stiller) is an oddball, hilariously volatile old man who
never says anything that isn't in anger or indignation. An ensemble
of Doug's quirky friends, who constantly dispense advice he takes
to heart but which is utterly, disastrously wrong, round out the
cast in this long-running family comedy.

Adam Sandler writes, directs and stars in this comedy centred on
the reunion of five former school friends. 30 years after
graduating from high school, five former basketball teammates -
Lenny (Sandler), Eric (Kevin James), Kurt (Chris Rock), Marcus
(David Spade) and Rob (Rob Schneider) - gather for the funeral of
their late coach over the Fourth of July holiday weekend at the
same lakeside house where they celebrated a championship victory
many years before. As the weekend goes on, the friends come to
realise that just because they have all grown older doesn't
necessarily mean that they have to grow up.
