The area of Farragut was the foundation of Shiva School (Yeshiva is Jewish), Watch Tower (Jehovah's Witnesses), Public Schools, St. Ann's Catholic Church, Drakes Cakes, Barney's Italian Grocer andDr. White Community Center. Farragut Housesnext door neighborsare Brooklyn Heights Historical District, and Fort Greene.It was the home of Italian, Jewish, African American, Puerto Rican and West Indians. It's building's location stand near the Brooklyn & ManhattanBridges, Brooklyn, Queens Expressway (BQE). The High Street and York Street subway stations, formerly titled the BMTBrooklyn-Manhattan Transit (Subwayfast food restaurant names their BMT sub sandwich - Ham, cheese usually provolone, spicy and regular hard salami and any fixings)subway line presently called the IND. IND means Independent."
