received little academic attention in recent years. Developmental

Frauen eher die untergeordneten und assistierenden Positionen inne,
Manner eher die fiihrenden und beaufsichtigenden; zudem
konzentrieren sie sich iiberwiegend auf wenige "frauentypische"
Berufe. 1m Bildungssystem dagegen, vor allem im
Sekundarschulbereich, sind Madchen auf den ersten Blick angemessen
reprasentiert, so daB bereits von einer sozialen Benachteiligung
der Jungen in Realschulen und Gyrnnasien ge sprochen wird (vgl.
Niedersachsischer Landtag 1978, 1979). Fraglich ist aber, ob aus
einer solchen zahlenmal3ig guten Vertretung von Madchen in diesem
Sektor des Bildungssystems gefolgert werden darf, daB sie damit die
gleichen Bildungs-und Berufschancen haben wie Jungen und ob sie
damit der faktischen Gleichberechtigung ein StUck naher gekommen
sind (so z.B. Hogner 1978, Kernich-Mohringer 1978, Krinner 1979,
Kohler und Zymek 1981, Eigler et al. 1980)."

Sozialisation und Erzie hung. Der Anteil derjenigen interaktiven
Prozesse des Einwirkens auf den Aufbau der soziokulturellen
Personlichkeit der Heranwachsenden wird standig grosser, der von
gesellschaftlich formal beauftragten und kontrollier ten
Rollentragern in eigens zu diesem Zweck konstituierten komplexen
sozialen Organisationen durchgefuhrt wird. Der Anteil derjenigen
Prozesse wird kleiner, der als Nebenprodukt interaktiver
Beziehungen mit durc;haus multivalenter sozialer und
gesellschaftlicher Funktionsbestimmung gross tenteils
unbeabsichtigt und ungeplant ablauft. Das gilt nicht nur in der

verfassten Erziehungseinrichtungen wie Kindergarten, Vorschulen,
Schulen und Hochschulen erfasst wird, wird von Jahrzehnt zu
Jahrzehnt grosser. Die Ursachen dieses Entwicklungsprozesses liegen
in umfassenden ge samtgesellschaftlichen Veranderungen,
insbesondere in den miteinander verflochtenen Faktoren des Wandels
der okonomischen Produktions-und Verwertungs bedingungen, der
politischen Herrschafts-und Entscheidungs strukturen und der
makrogesellschaftlichen Sozialstrukturen. Eine Analyse der
Entwicklung der Sozialisations- und Erziehungsprozesse in unseren
Gesellschaften muss deshalb verbunden sein mit einer Analyse dieser
gesell schaftlichen Veranderungen selbst. Eine
Sozialisationstheorie muss notwen digerweise in eine Theorie
gesellschaftlicher Strukturen und Prozesse uber gehen und
Bestandteil einer umfassenden Gesellschaftstheorie sein."
Health and well-being during adolescence depends largely on the fit
