Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not
used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad
quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are
images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to
keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the
original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain
imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made
available for future generations to enjoy.

This book briefly reviews the history of equine embryo transfer,
covering in clinically practical terms the techniques, equipment,
and management protocols currently in use. Embryo transfer has
become a big business, especially for breeding racing stock (horses
and camels), and is therefore a very important aspect of equine
practice. Ed Squires and Pat McCue have been involved with the
development of embryo collection and transfer procedures since the
early 60s and have both contributed important techniques and
innovations to the process through their research and clinical
experience. This book captures the clinical experience, so far, and
applies it directly to equine practice. The book is of great value
to general equine practitioners for reference, equine reproduction
specialists, animal science at the graduate level (equine track),
and breeders.
Explaining Growth attempts to compile the most comprehensive assessment of growth in developing and transition countries. The first phase has sought to review and discover broad similarities and comparable experiences in six regions spanning the developing world. In each region, studies were undertaken on sources of growth, markets and growth, microeconomic determinants of growth, and the political economy of growth. These reviews provide the framework for the in-depth country case studies in Phase II. This volume summarizes the main results of the regional analyses and sets the stage for the country studies.

This little book aims at calling the attention to the general
reader to the mythology of Britain, that as yet little-known store
of Celtic tradition which reflects the religious conceptions of
their earliest articulate ancestors. The author based his work upon
the studies of the leading Celtic scholars and he believes that the
reader may safely accept it as in line with the latest research.
