John Vinton ably captures the history and culture of the
Adirondacks in this collection. These are the stories people told
each other when, as long ago as the early 1800's, they were an
integral part of the beginnings of Adirondack culture. Delightful
illustrations by Larry Miller incorporate images from Seneca Ray
Stoddard and contribute greatly in making this outstanding volume a
new Adirondack classic.

materials and citations, as well as further supporting examples and
new procedures in digital and electronic report writing.

We live in a world filled with chaos. Nothing seems the same after
9/11. We are at war with one another. Hatred abounds. Terror reins.
People are dying. We finally seem to have come to a consensus that
global warming is a reality, yet we don't have a comprehensive plan
in place to address it. We know that deforestation of rain forests
will have a dramatic affect on the environment, but little is being
done to stop to it. We can barely bring ourselves to talk about
sex, yet sex crimes are at an all time high. What kind of mess are
we leaving for our children and their children to clean up? Is this
the way it is going to be? Is this the way it has to be? How did we
end up in this situation? Is there anything we can do to change it?
Is time is running out? Have we made so many mistakes along the way
that it's hopeless? Are we even living our lives correctly? Maybe
we have it all wrong. What if we have it backward? Maybe life on
earth as we know it is not reality, but an illusion. If it is an
illusion, is it like a game? If so, are we playing it correctly? If
there are rules, wouldn't it help to know what they are so we can
play the game better?
Half-breed. Oreo Cookie. Suzy Q. These are a few of the names the
bullies spewed her way. Did she cower? Sometimes. Did she cry? A
lot. Did they win? No. Come along for the reading ride as author,
Kori D. Miller, describes her life as an interracial woman in the
United States, from grade school in the 70's to college in the late
80's, and beyond. You'll laugh. You might cry. And, you might get
as ticked off as she did. In the end, you'll discover that she's a
lot like you.
The Premise of Going All the Way with Love is that our primary
purpose here on earth is to develop our potential to love to the
fullest extent possible and that becoming more loving is the
shortest and easiest path to personal transformation, as well as to
the collective salvation of humanity. According to the author,
"Each of us is capable of a higher order of love - a love that is
truer, deeper, and more all-encompassing than the love that we now
experience and express," and he provides insights into the nature
and power of love that will, hopefully, inspire the reader to "go
all the way" in becoming a wholly loving person.
