aufnehmen wollen und dadurch unn thig die Frage ber die Entstehung
des Torfs verwickelt. Wenn man aufmerksam die verschiedenen
Torfablagerungen in den Torfstichen beobachtet, so kann man sich
sogleich berzeugen, da mehrere von ihnen unter Wasser entstanden
sind, w hrend andere sich auf einem blos feuchten Boden erhoben
haben, ohne je unter Wasser gewesen zu sein. Die Beweise ber die
Entstehung des Torfs lassen sich also am besten f hren nach der
Eintheilung der Moore in supra-aquatische, oder
Ueberwasserbildungen, und inirs-aquatische, oder
Unterwasserbildungen. Es kann allerdings 7) Zum Theil aus dem
Grunde, da hier die Vegetation, wegen Rauheit des Klimas sehr d
