Ralph Bakshi's animated version of the seminal fantasy trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkein, made by overlaying animation on live action actors (a unique pre-computer graphics technique). Set in the fictional world of Middle Earth, The Lord of the Rings tells the epic story of Frodo, a Hobbit who must defeat the evil figure Sauron who holds the Ring of Power, which controls the fate of all Middle Earth. On the way he and his band of friends and cousins must do battle with Black Riders, a Balrog and various other animated perils.
Tense supernatural thriller. In a small American town, a car that seems to have a murderous mind of its own runs down two bikers and a hitchhiker, before going on to kill the town's sheriff. Officer Wade (James Brolin) finds himself promoted and is soon trying to track down the killer car, but when it brutally runs down his girlfriend Lauren (Kathleen Lloyd), the case becomes personal. Luring the deadly vehicle to a remote canyon, Wade prepares for a final showdown.

A group of medics (Stephen Boyd, Raquel Welch, William Redfield, Arthur Kennedy and Donald Pleasence) and a submarine are miniaturised and injected into the bloodstream of a top Czech scientist, who was shot while defecting, in order to carry out delicate, life-saving surgery. Travelling though his body is hazardous, but far more dangerous is the suspicion that one of them is a traitor. They race against time to perform the surgery and escape from the body before they return to their full size. The film won Oscars for Best Cinematography and Best Editing.
In one of moviedom's most influential roles, James Dean plays Jim Stark, the new kid in town whose loneliness, frustration and anger mirrored those of post-war teens - and reverberate ' more than 40 years later. Natalie Wood (as Jim's girlfriend Judy) and Sal Mineo (in his screen debut as Jim's tag-along pal Plato) were Academy Award nominees for their achingly true performances. Director Nicholas Ray was also an Oscar nominee for this landmark film chosen as one of the Top-100 American Films by the American Film Institute. Rebel Without A Cause has been digitally mastered from newly restored elements, so this DVD offers the movie's picture and sound in its most optimal presentation since its original theatrical release.
