Chinese manufacturing industries continue to impact the world
economy. It is important to understand what is happening in China
and the uniqueness of Chinese manufacturing industries.
Manufacturing Productivity in China brings together a group of
authors from academia and industry to give an industrial
engineering micro viewpoint instead of an economical macro
viewpoint to this subject. It includes first-hand case studies to
better understand the competitiveness of Chinese manufacturing
industries. Although many researchers attribute China's
manufacturing success to the competitiveness of low labor and
materials cost, in reality, many other factors are at play.
Investment in manufacturing engineering education and innovation
also plays a role. With twelve case studies written by foremost
authorities from Tsinghua University, this book covers a broad
range of manufacturing industries-transitional, state-owned, and
private enterprises. However, each case study highlights the
innovation of Chinese manufacturing and enhancement of production
efficiency, with concepts bolstered by a significant number of
figures and tables. The book explores the history of China's
success, beginning with the planned economy from 1949-1977, to the
reforms of the latter part of the twentieth century, to the
emergence of industrial engineering and innovation. An inside look
at the stories behind the successful manufacturing processes, this
book provides an unbiased view of the success of "Made in China".

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 25th
International Conference on Parallel Computational Fluid Dynamics,
ParCFD 2013, held in Changsha, China, in May 2013. The 35 revised
full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from
more than 240 submissions. The papers address issues such as
parallel algorithms, developments in software tools and
environments, unstructured adaptive mesh applications, industrial
applications, atmospheric and oceanic global simulation,
interdisciplinary applications and evaluation of computer
architectures and software environments.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the National
Annual Conference on High Performance Computing, HPC 2012, held in
Zhangjiajie, China, in October 2012. The 14 revised full papers
presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 260
submissions. The papers address issues such as parallel
architecture, GPU computing, resource scheduling, parallel
algorithm, and performance evaluation.
Implementing co-operative production networks to secure and foster
future competitiveness on the global market is a major strategic
target for many small- and medium-sized enterprises. The text
starts begins with a look at strategic management before moving
onto operational product development and operations execution, and
in doing so provides a detailed overview of the different key
issues of setting up strategic production networks. Management
concepts, the required information technology as well as best
practices are introduced and discussed by leading researchers from
Germany, Switzerland and China. The book is ideally suited for
managers responsible for setting up global or regional co-operative
production networks as well as researchers and students.
Digital networking technologies are empowering organizations to
form dynamic networks, generating exceptional or 'smart' results.
These Smart Business Networks (SBNs) enable individual
organizations to compete more effectively and to respond better to
a changing world. This idea attracted a diverse group of academic
scholars and business professionals to Beijing from May 19-23,
2008, hosted by Tsinghua University. They discovered new ways to
manage network resources, operate business processes across a
network, create a business operations platform, understand the
importance of network position and the smart mastering of
technology. Effective managers, they concluded, must have a firm
understanding of these fundamental network concepts in order to
orchestrate the networks of the future. This book presents the
results of an intense and energizing event which resulted in new
theoretical foundations and practical insights.

This book explains how we can use acupuncture and herbs to improve
erectile function and optimize testosterone level. This book also
explains how we can prevent prostate enlargement and prostate
cancer by using acupuncture, acupressure, Chinese herbs and dietary
changes.
This book consists of papers on the recent progresses in the state
of the art in natural computation, fuzzy systems, and knowledge
discovery. The book is useful for researchers, including
professors, graduate students, as well as R & D staff in the
industry, with a general interest in natural computation, fuzzy
systems, and knowledge discovery. The work printed in this book was
presented at the 2022 18th International Conference on Natural
Computation, Fuzzy Systems, and Knowledge Discovery (ICNC-FSKD
2022), held from 30 July to 1 August 2022, in Fuzhou, China. All
papers were rigorously peer-reviewed by experts in the areas.
One in ten couples will deal with infertility, with conditions such
as endometriosis and fibroids, polycystic ovarian syndrome,
premature ovarian failure, or recurring miscarriage and secondary
infertility. Even with advancements in medical care, statistics
show that successful outcomes of fertility treatments such as IVF
or IUI are greatly improved with acupuncture and herbal medicine.
Men and women benefit by getting to the underlying cause of their
infertility, reducing stress during treatments, and making healthy
lifestyle and dietary choices. Loaded with Case Studies,
Acupuncture and Infertility gives real-life tips for over 13
infertility conditions as well as herbs and acupressure
self-massage points, and includes Traditional Chinese Medical
diagnoses for infertility. Couples seeking holistic, natural
treatment or supportive care for fertility treatment will benefit
from applying the principles of Chinese Medicine to overcome their
infertility issues.
This book tries to answer the following questions: Why can
acupuncture relax our mind and body to alleviate stress and balance
our immune function? Why can acupuncture reduce the pain without
causing drowsiness and addiction? Why can acupuncture increase the
success rate of fertility? How can acupuncture help people quit
smoking or alcohol? Why can acupuncture promote your metabolism and
suppress your appetite so you can regain your healthy body shape?
Why do celebrities choose acupuncture to reduce their muscle
drooping and skin wrinkles? How can acupuncture help depressed
people regain their confidence and reduce their medication?
