This book focuses on the bilateral relationship between China and and Cambodia to present an though and deep cooperation of the two countries involving political, security, economic and cultural areas. It collects wisdom by the researchers and scholars attending the first China-Cambodia Cooperation Forum, which was held in Siem Reap, Cambodia, from December 6 to 8, 2019, with the theme of “Cambodia-China toward a Community with a Shared Future: We Grow Together”. It aims to build an overview with balanced perspectives on China-Cambodia relationship.

From the perspective of the interaction between China and the world, China's Major Country Diplomacy: Chinese Characteristics, Connotations, and Paths comprehensively combs the adjustment and transformation of China's diplomatic concept and diplomatic practice, which constitute the whole connotation of diplomacy with Chinese characteristics. Based on the new diplomatic ideas and practices proposed since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, this review volume comprehensively and deeply explores the connotation, expression forms, and promotion path of diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Diplomacy with Chinese characteristics is a series of new ideas, concepts, models, and practices put forward by China as a big country with increasing influence in the world in the new era to meet the needs of its own and world development. Its connotation and extension are different from previous diplomatic ideas and practices, and more different from diplomatic ideas and practices of other major powers in the world today. It represents the future development direction of the world. The special world significance of new thinking and new path will be embodied with the practice of characteristic diplomacy, which will bring structural impact to the world.

BRICS countries, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (known as bloc), have been working closely together for more than a decade in areas as politics, economics, culture and security. The bloc plays a crucial role in facilitating the growth of not only emerging markets and developing countries, but also the world economy as a whole. Just as importantly, it contributes significantly towards improving global governance and the welfare of those living in BRICS countries. Contributed by more than 20 experts from major think tanks in BRICS countries, the chapters in this book analyze how the BRICS countries have realized shared prosperity and achieved global prominence by cooperating with one another. In addition, the authors also look at challenges faced by the bloc, and possible solutions to those problems.

China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has attracted growing attention from around the world since it was first announced. It is, along with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), a critical instrument for realizing what the Chinese government calls the Community of Common Destiny (CCD).The core idea presented in this volume is that the CCD represents a new paradigm for promoting regional collaboration in socio-economic development, and plays a crucial role in reshaping the international geopolitical landscape. Contributors show that the belief in common development and common security transcends differences in cultural tradition and pre-existing level of development. This belief underlies the commitments among countries and regions participating in the BRI to working closely together in pursuit of shared and sustained prosperity.The chapters are based on papers presented at 'Building the Community of Common Destiny between China and Its Neighbors: Challenges and the Future', an international forum co-organized by the National Institute for Global Strategy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the University of International Relations (China). Thirty experts from more than twenty countries have contributed to this volume.
