Today's global markets demand that companies of all sizes look to
international markets for potential customers. The successive
crises that have taken place in the last decade make the
internationalization of companies essential. This situation is
further aggravated in the case of SMEs, as surviving only from
national markets is becoming increasingly difficult. Indeed, the
economic sphere is in constant flux, which demands that companies
have a great capacity for adaptation to face the new challenges of
an ever more globalized and difficult market. In this context, new
forms of business communication are emerging, especially through
the web and new technologies. Digital marketing and the
dissemination of corporate information have become key processes
for the success of companies. It is therefore crucial to research
different digital marketing processes and ways of breaking down
linguistic and cultural barriers between users from different
sociolinguistic contexts. Innovative Perspectives on Corporate
Communication in the Global World contains different contributions
focused on the description of methods, processes, and tools that
can be adopted to achieve corporate internationalization goals. The
chapters provide a comprehensive review of the why, what, and how
of disseminating corporate information and promoting corporate
digital communication into internationalization processes. These
strategies can be related to the development of digital tools, the
design of new corporate communication strategies, the proposal of
new ways of breaking social and linguistic barriers between
technology users, or the creation of new methodologies aimed at
evaluating the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies. This
book is ideal for marketers, managers, executives, entrepreneurs,
practitioners, researchers, academicians, and students interested
in new corporate communication strategies and their effectiveness.
This open access book focuses on the importance that EU
politicization has gained in European democracies and the
consequences for voting behaviour in six countries of the EU:
Belgium, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Spain. Most of the
studies which research the way the EU is being legitimised focus on
the European Parliament elections. In this book we argue that to
understand how EU accountability works, it is necessary to focus
instead on national elections and the national political
environment. Through a detailed, multimethod analysis this book
establishes rigorously the paths of European accountability at the
national level, its propitious contexts in the media and
parliamentary debates, and whether the paths are similar from
Greece to Germany. The findings have implications for both national
and European Union democracy, underlining the importance that
national institutions have in enabling citizens to hold the EU
accountable.

arrival, but not ready to say goodbye to the old table. When the
new table arrives, neighbors help clean, sand, and paint. Friends
and family bring over puzzles and peaches to help make Grandpa feel
at home. But it’s not until Clare helps Papa make Grandpa’s
favorite treat that she finally sees how this table means more
space for creating new memories. And that when it comes to the
people you love, there’s always room for one more.
As new technologies and professional profiles emerge, traditional
education paradigms have to be adapted to new scenarios, creating
favorable conditions for promoting transversal skills among
students. Consequently, there is a growing demand for training in
emergent skills to solve problems of different natures,
distributive leadership competencies, empathy, ability to control
emotions, etc. In this sense, one of the challenges that educators
of all different educational levels and training contexts have to
face is to foster these skills in their courses. To overcome these
obstacles, innovative and disruptive methodologies, such as
game-based learning activities like escape rooms, can be a great
ally for teachers to work on transversal skills and specific
knowledge at the same time. Using Disruptive Methodologies and
Game-Based Learning to Foster Transversal Skills gathers knowledge,
skills, abilities, and capabilities on innovative and disruptive
methodologies that can be applied in all educational levels to
foster transversal skills. This publication contains different
contributions focused on the description of innovative educational
methods, processes, and tools that can be adopted by teachers to
promote transversal skills such as creativity, critical thinking,
decision-making, and entrepreneurial skills. This book is ideal for
teachers, instructional designers, educational software developers,
academics, professionals, students, and researchers working at all
levels in the educational field and provides valuable background
information to professionals who aim to overcome traditional
paradigm obstacles and meet student needs by means of innovative
and disruptive methodologies.
