Secrets is an interesting and suspenseful novel of murder in a
private business setting. Jenny Calhoun and Libby Chandler go
undercover for the police to unearth information to solve three
related murders, which were almost without clues before their
intervention. The police have to choose their suspect from nine
workers who had opportunity to commit the crimes. The novel holds
the reader's attention throughout and ends in justice for the
murderer.
Stalking Horse is a fast-paced suspense novella based in
Jacksonville, Florida. Private Investigator Sylvie Morrison
interacts with the police to track a serial rapist and killer,
while going about her daily schedule of investigations. Sylvie gets
the rapist's attention and becomes one of his subjects, while
performing armed escort service for one of his victims, who
survives her attack, and helping the police to solve the case.
Eve Jackson, a busy medical office receptionist, is alarmed about
her sister Hetty's well-being, and takes two weeks off work to
tavel north to Raleigh, NC to help her. She finds Hetty gravely ill
and calls an ambulance. She is admitted to the hospital with
pneumonia and placed in Intensuive Care. After a course of
antibiotics Hetty is released by the doctors, and the two sisters
spend an all too brief reunion before tragedy overshadows them,
abruptly ending their time together. Eve stays in Raleigh another
month to see the end of the police investigation of Hetty's murder,
and gains some closure for her grief, finally seeing justice done.
