Im Original erschienen 1885. Luedwig Wilser (1850-1923) war ein
umstrittener Arzt und Schriftsteller, der sich als Rassenhistoriker
heftiger Kritik unter anderem von Rudolf Virchow ausgesetzt sah. In
dem hier vorliegenden Buch vertrat er die These, das Skandinavien
die Urheimat der Germanen bzw. Indogermanen gewesen war. Obwohl
Wilser mit vielen seiner Ausserungen dem Nationalsozialismus
Vorschub geleistet hat, ist seine Theorie uber Skandinavien als die
Urheimat der Germanen von vielen Forschern auch spater ubernommen
worden
