This book bridges the gap between Islamic and conventional
(micro)economics by demonstrating how modern tools and theories of
microeconomics can be applied to Islamic assumptions regarding
economics and finance. In contrast to the tendency for Islamic
economics and finance proponents to use qualitative and normative
approaches based on idealistic assumptions, this book demonstrates
how one can instead construct analytical models of Islamic
economics and finance and simply compare the implications with
those predominant in today’s world. This book also offers
extensive literature reviews demonstrating that for a long time,
the gap between Islamic and conventional economics and finance is
not as wide as previously thought, allowing those with an interest
in both fields to participate more effectively and meaningfully in
the ongoing discourse between the two fields. The authors
conceptualize a general approach and apply it to basic consumer
theory. More advanced microeconomic ideas are then discussed,
culminating in demonstrations of how contract theory can facilitate
a deeper analysis and appreciation of Islamic financial securities.
A wide spectrum of academic literature on both Islamic and
conventional economics and finance is drawn upon to facilitate a
better appreciation for both fields and to inspire future works
comparing the two in a more objective manner.
This handbook provides insights into becoming a better and more
evolved athlete. It offers aspiring athletes, regardless of skill
level, a better understanding of their bodies and how to unlock the
unlimited potential of muscles without injury. It focuses on the
"superhero" muscle: the iliopsoas, and also sheds light on
Diamond-Corporation's new technology and elite athleticism, and how
these can contribute to a healthier life. Lastly, the authors
explore the mindset of success and provide exercises for remaining
calm under pressure. This stand-alone book is the sequel to
Paradigm Shift for Future Tennis and Enhancing Performance and
Reducing Stress in Sport (2014, Springer). This book is written by
scientists, whose expertise collectively spans the fields of
biomechanics, clinical surgery, current and former elite
athleticism, engineering and naturopath doctoral work. Together,
they aim to inspire and educate athletes on how to improve their
sports performance by using new technologies, world class
biomechanics knowledge and ancient herbal medicines.

The book "Paradigm Shift for Future Tennis" starts with revelations
that make obvious the limitations of today's tennis, which does not
use the laws of modern Biomechanics and Neurophysiology. The second
part of the book includes a new approach to the quantum mind of a
champion. It will reveal the secret weapon of Roger Federer and the
blueprint of a future tennis champion. This book will expose the
new tennis shot emerging from the field of sports science. It is a
real weapon, which can generate a ball-speed similar to that of the
first serve: the Power High-Forehand. Its aim is to generate
maximal possible racket-head speed while players do not wait for
the ball to bounce. This is both a tactical and psychological basis
for the future tennis game. This aggressive interceptive psychology
will shape the minds of future tennis champions. High racket-head
speed can be achieved using the stretch-reflex, without big loops
and swings. Weapons of a future tennis game will comprise of
whip-like tennis serves and ground strokes, based on the
stretch-reflex, and using the whole body in a fluid and integrated
manner, thus manifesting a superb combination of speed and
strength. Restructure your brain and apply the power of state of
the art biomechanical, mathematical, medical, neural, cognitive,
and quantum computational intelligence to understand the tennis of
today and the future!

This book brings together conceptual, theoretical, policy-based,
and empirical contributions from multidisciplinary lenses to bridge
the existing knowledge gap in the field of medicine,
entrepreneurship and health economics. This book serves as a much
needed intellectual resource providing guidance to the
entrepreneurial-minded medical doctors (Medipreneurs), social
entrepreneurs, policymakers, academics on the subject matter with a
view of applying the knowledge gained for reinvigorating the
healthcare delivery system leveraging a business approach. The
contributions serve as a guide to connect entrepreneurially with
market opportunities, especially to provide relevant
health-oriented products, services, technologies and other medical
solutions for social impact in the developed and developing
countries with the overarching goal of assisting policymakers to
accelerate the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goal 3
(SDG3).
Currently, there are several divergent and convergent
understandings of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) as the
term continues to evolve and expand. A number of scholars,
practitioners, and international bodies have attempted to define
the concept, theoretical underpinnings, dimensions, and sources of
DEI as well as its advantages and disadvantages in organizations
and workplaces. However, further study is necessary to accurately
define the concept of DEI in order to appropriately develop and
implement inclusive policies in today's business world.
Mainstreaming Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as Future Workplace
Ethics enhances the historical origin of DEI, considers existing
definitions and theories of DEI from a multidisciplinary lens, and
provides insightful and valuable materials that are focused on DEI
to aid the application of these concepts in theory and practice.
Covering topics such as economic growth and policy development,
this reference work is ideal for policymakers, ethicists, human
resource specialists, business owners, executives, managers,
industry professionals, academicians, researchers, instructors, and
students.
The blue economy is a widely used concept in policy circles;
however, people across a wide spectrum have a peripheral
understanding of the phenomenon. At the moment, there are several
conflicting understandings of the blue economy but no universally
accepted definition and veritable measures. Considering the
existential importance of the blue economy for the protection of
marine environments and sustainability of businesses, there is an
urgent need for rigorous conceptual, policy-focused, theoretical,
and empirical studies on the subject from multidisciplinary
perspectives. Implications for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise
Development in the Blue Economy enriches existing definitions of a
blue economy with inputs from a multidisciplinary lens and provides
veritable measures for evaluating blue economy progression and
compliance. Covering topics such as economics, natural resource
development, social equity, and sustainability, this reference work
is ideal for policymakers, entrepreneurs, managers, oceanographers,
marine biologists, scholars, industry professionals, government
officials, academicians, researchers, practitioners, instructors,
and students.
