This book analyses the key livelihood and governance challenges that the urban poor experience while navigating public spaces in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Using data collected through extensive fieldwork in Bangladesh, the book contributes to the emerging scholarship of resilient cities, gendered space, spatial justice, and poverty in cities of the Global South. The book assesses the everyday politics of survival for the urban poor; how the poor negotiate different levels of formal and informal modes of power and governance; and the dynamics of gender. It explores how tenuous counterspaces are created when these factors combine to provide a valuable framework for work in other urban contexts in the Global South beyond Bangladesh. Computational Phytochemistry explores how recent advances in computational techniques and methods have been embraced by phytochemical researchers to enhance many of their operations, thus refocusing and expanding the possibilities of phytochemical studies. This study is focused on Printing and Signing ECG (Electrocardiograph) Leads in PDF files.The most widely used signal in clinical practice is the ECG. ECG conveys information regarding the electrical function of the heart, by altering the shape of its constituent waves, namely the P, QRS, and T waves. In the first part describes the ECG pattern recognition and their classification using non-linear transformations and neural networks. Second part of the study consists of ECG Data processing and Recording System. This study is oriented towards printing and signing ECG signal in Portable Document Format (PDF) owing to its importance, because it is a file format used to represent documents in a manner independent of application software, hardware, and operating systems.In the results and discussion section requirements and the constraints that characterized the work development are presented, together with the design issues encountered and the solutions adopted. Finally java development tools have been used to enable signing ECG leads on PDF file.
The study attempts to explain changes in reproductive behaviour of rural women of Bangladesh that has occurred at a time when the country was predominantly poor and agricultural. Three different areas were studied, using time series analysis, and changes measured by demand for additional children and current contraceptive use. The findings show that demand for no additional children was generated prior to the fertility decline and that the family planning programme helped to mitigate the demand for fertility control modifying supply logistics since the late 1970s. Reproductive behaviour of women is strongly affected by biosocial and cultural factors related to patriarchal social structure. Desired family size in all three areas were similar prior to the fertility decline of the 1980s. It was lower than the fertility rate and is probably affected by prior improved survivorship. During the period studied, desired family size reduced equally in all three areas. With this same level of desired family size, an efficient Matlab Family planning programme successfully reduced fertility from the mid 1970s, while high fertility in the other two areas began to decline from the 1980s.
The objective of this study was to identify the role of business planning in SMEs. Attempts were made to figure out why the business planning is used and to what extent the plannings are used by the entrepreneurs. In such case, studies were made to find whether the entrepreneurs use the business plan to achieve higher performance in their business or not. In the beginning hypothesis was made that a well developed plan leads to convenient access to finance and thereby improving the performance through various measures. To test the objective the authors extensively studied literature, journals and articles along with carrying out a telephone interview on a short number of specific questions. The analysis and conclusion were based on the literature and the interviews. The authors relied on a response of 8 SMEs between one to five years old to test the hypothesis. A positive relationship between business planning and bank finance was found in the study. But the data doesn't reveal that planning had any significantly direct relation with improving the performance of the business but it does have positive benefits.
